My affection for ALL the pretty things at Saks is strong, but their selection of pretty dresses totally sweeps me off of my feet. They carry SUCH pretty dresses. And we’re not just talking pretty-enough dresses…we’re talking head-turning, wildly pretty dresses.

When Saks, therefore, has a huge promotional event (like the one happening right now!), I am over the moon excited if they include their designer dresses. And yay for us… in this big Designer Sale (up to 50% off!), they did! I particularly fell in love when I saw this white stunner and this rose beauty from beloved designer Sea.

Rose Dress | White Dress | Bag | Shoes

Yes, I gravitate to a good white t-shirt and jeans for everyday wear, but if I’m going to get dressed up, I like to make it count. Bring on the frilly dress, bring on the fabulous statement bag, and bring on the cute (but walkable) heels.

**Saks Fifth Avenue Designer Sale is huge! My top picks, in addition to these two lovely dresses, are at the bottom of the post.**

The Romantic White Dress

This cotton ruffled white dress from Sea is an incredibly romantic summer star. Perfect with simple tan sandals for any warm-weather vacation…or add heels and a fancy bag for a special event. Shana would totally pull this dress off with sneaks as well, but I like to stick to my fav fancy clog sandals.

Add A Bold Bag & Pretty Shoes

And can we take a second to talk about this bag? It is big and bold and should not be used to carry M&M’s or loose change or tampons, but DANG it is a beauty. If you’re in the market for a splurgy summer statement bag, definitely take a look at this one. It makes everything you wear look ultra-luxe. I paired it with my go-to jeans and white tee uniform, and it elevated those simple pieces up about 200 notches. If you’re not in to the big bold size, but like the look, this smaller version has the same gorgeous fabric accent but would be easier to bring for travel.

These Loeffler Randall sandal clogs are also a winner in the “splurge for versatility” contest. They work equally as well with special dresses as they do with linen pants, swimsuit cover-ups (if you’re a fancy pool party gal), or denim.

Sizing Notes: I’m wearing an XS here in the white dress but should have ordered the S. The XS is too snug in the hips, and especially in white I would have been more comfortable in the bigger size. For reference, I’m 5’2, a 0/2 in tops, and a 27/28 in bottoms.

Note: The black version of this dress is also part of Saks Designer Sale—but sizing is going fast!

The Frilly Rose Dress

This rose eyelet dress from Sea is a beautiful frilly gem. It’s 100% cotton, so it’s cool and comfortable, but the attention to detail, design, and color make a bold statement.

Dress | Bag | Shoes

This dress could definitely be dressed down with flat sandals, or even minimalist sneakers and a simple bag, but I had so much fun pairing it with my gingham fabric clog sandals and the Cult Gaia statement bag. Frills, bows and ribbons worn all together? I say bring it on!

Sizing Notes: I’m wearing a size 0 above. The top of the dress is stretchy, and because the bottom of the dress is A-line there’s some give and take with the sizing. The two fit me equally as well. For reference, I’m 5’2, a 0/2 in tops, and a 27/28 in bottoms.

    • Are they going to be included in my huge comfort shoe post? No. Would I wear them all day long walking the city for miles and miles? No. But would I wear them to walk 6 blocks to meet the girls for a drink or to a fun summer stand-around for hours event this summer? Absolutely.

  1. Linzi! I love how you’ve styled these dresses accessories. And with your dark hair and these dresses, you just look amazing!

    • Awwww! Thank you, Amber. That is so incredibly nice–I really appreciate it. It truly was SUCH a fun post to do…those dresses are pretty amazing to wear.

  2. Linzi! So nice to see you back. I have another question about the cute shoes. Can you untie and retie that bow on top yourself? Always in the market for wide-foot tricks!

    • Hi Jen! It’s good to be back! You can’t untie and retie these shoes, unfortunately, and the footbed is pretty narrow. 🙁 I’m hoping to finish up my big comfort shoe post next week, and I am absolutely keeping an eye out for wide shoes I promise!
