Jeans, Moto Jackets & Cute Dresses: Scotti’s Nordstrom Surprise Sale Favs
From my favorite jeans, to the best cardigan to lounge in, from a sweater dress that’s perfect to throw on over leggings (and on sale for under $30) to the best way to grow lashes and eyebrows, here are my top picks from Nordstrom’s Surprise Sale…
1. My Go-To Denim
Straight Leg Jeans
AG’s Cigarette jeans (more sizes and colors here) are a favorite of mine because of the looser fit around the ankles. It makes your legs look longer because of the straighter silhouette. I’m actually wearing the “ankle” length here, which is obviously longer on my 5’4″ frame.

AG Prima Ankle Skinny Jeans (28) + Abercrombie Tie-Front Button-Up (also on sale!) + Calvin Klein Pumps + Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack
Boyfriend Jeans
Wow. These look crazy different on the model, but these are amazing jeans. They’re perfectly slouchy without being sloppy and have that awesome relaxed vibe that I’m always looking for in boyfriend jeans. They come in a ton of colors here.

AG Ex-Boyfriend Jeans (28) (more colors and sizes here)
Flares
Good American always nails their denim. These flares are super-flattering and make legs look a mile long. I sized down to a 27 because of the high waist (I usually do for high-rise jeans). The length is a tad long, which is why I love the frayed hem on these–it makes it really easy to cut them to where you need.

Good American Good Flare Jeans (27)
Skinny Jeans (featuring the softest cardi, ever)
Love these skinnies–especially with the crazy soft Barefoot Dreams cardigan right about now. They’re stretchy so they’re really comfy–not as comfy as straight-up leggings, but you can definitely lounge in them. (Also in a cropped length here.)

2. These (Crazy Versatile) Little Black Dresses
Ruched Midi Dress
I’ve been looking for a dress like this for awhile–one that can be thrown on for errands, dressed up for night, easily worn as a coverup or sight-seeing on vacation . . . all things I’m looking forward to after this quarantine. The boots I’m wearing come up high enough to hide socks but are soft enough to not have to wear any with them.

Michael Stars Midi Dress (Petite Medium) + Jeffrey Campbell Booties
Bra-Friendly LBD With A Sexy Slit
I did a post on styling this dress recently and even I was surprised by how many ways it can be styled. It’s now under $40. Woot! The pumps are soft and comfy (they’re made of a mesh material and the heel isn’t too high), although to be honest, I won’t be wearing them for awhile. I LOVE them though, so I’ll be happy to put them on again when I can.

3. Cool, Easy Moto Jackets
Black Faux Leather Moto
I sized down in this jacket because I kind of wanted it to be a bit shrunken to layer over all of the things. It’s a chicer way to add a little warmth when you need some. And I LOVE the strong shoulders.

Velvet Jumpsuit (m) + Faux Leather Moto Jacket (xs) +Chiffon Earrings + Rebecca Minkoff Clutch
Colorful Faux Suede Jacket
I like the fit of this jacket–a bit more relaxed than the one above. It’s soft, stretchy, a great color and on sale for under $60.

Faux Suede Navy Moto Jacket (xs) + Paige High Waist Jeans (non-distressed, sized down to a 27 due to the higher rise)
4. The Sweater Dress I Wore All Fall & Winter Long
I loved wearing this dress in the fall. I’ve been wearing it in the winter over jeans (too cold for bare legs here), and it’s big and soft and oversized and super-comfy. It also comes in light grey, a washed black and olive green, AND IS ON SALE FOR UNDER $30 (60% off). Yaaaas. And this peacoat is a crazy good deal (under $30 too)–I’ve had this one for years and wear it every single fall.

5. The BEST Maxi Cardigan
The length of this cardigan makes it. I love the asymmetrical hemline and it’s lightweight–perfect to throw on over a pair of leggings or jeans, but would work just as easily over a dress. And the Madewell tee I’m wearing it with is like the perfect v-neck . . . it comes in a bunch of colors and is on sale for under $15.

Maxi Cardigan (xs) + V-neck tee (s) + Good American Jeans
5. This Pretty Blouse
This is just a pretty blouse I thought I’d include because I like the embroidery and puff sleeves–it’s a button-up, which you may not be able to tell from the pics because Ozzie’s hand is constantly down the front of it.

Puff Sleeve Top (small)
6. Tie-Waist Pants
I got these during the Anniversary sale and love them–they come in a bunch of colors. Although I’m wearing the 4 petite here, I think the 4 regular, 6p and 6 regular would all work due to the fit of the pants. The tie makes it easy to cinch-in the waist.

SIMPLEHUMAN Mirror
I love this thing. The little magnifying mirror is great for details and the size of the regular mirror is perfect. The small mirror can be stuck to the front or back (for storing it), and I love that there are no extra cords to deal with. You can control the light settings in an app on your phone . . . #technology.

Revitalash Lash Conditioner
I started using this after lash extensions destroyed my lashes and they were short, sparse little things. This stuff WORKS and brought them back from the brink. I use it daily.

Revitalash Eyelash Conditioner
Revitalash Eyebrow Conditioner
I tried this because the lash conditioner had worked so well and I wasn’t disappointed. My brows are thicker than ever (of course you have to try to stop plucking them), and this has helped to fill in the gaps that years of over-plucking created. I look back at pics of my suuuuper thin brows and realize how much this stuff has helped!

Hang in there, guys. “This too shall pass” and “keep the faith,” as my mom always says. We’re all in this together, right?
