Happy New Year!
Just about everyone on our team seems to have a resolution (or two), so I might as well hop on the bandwagon. Aside from a handful of personal intentions, I’m also going to work on shopping smarter when it comes to clothes, shoes and accessories — I’m aiming for quality over quantity. Also, I genuinely can’t fit one more thing in my city closet so lots of donations are in order.
I’m not one to shy away from an investment piece when I see one, and it’s been working for me so far. My favorite purchase to date? This black puffer coat. If you live in a place where the temps are bound to drop, I’d highly recommend finding a longer coat like mine you can wear again and again.
Similarly, Linz spotted a Lolë puffer on sale that looks pretty amazing (and it’s at a great price point). I know S wears her Lolë gear on pretty heavy rotation, so if you’re looking for a great jacket to last, that may be it.

Linzi’s Sale Picks
I’m not usually one for New Year’s resolutions, but this year for some reason I went crazy. I think I have like 40…or something ridiculous like that. Maybe aim high, and then be happy if even one or two of them stick??? Probably not the best way to do this whole thing, but it IS energizing me for now…so I’ll go with it. Forty seems to be the number of the week. Madewell has an extra 40% off their sale items (many pieces from my Dressing Room Selfies on sale), Anthro still has 40% off their sale section too (and just restocked), and several good finds at Nordstrom for 40% off as well. Not too bad if you didn’t get everything you wanted/needed during the December sales. Happy January, happy 2020, happy weekend, and happy sale shopping!

Oohf…Happy New Year and can I go to bed yet? The holidays are so much fun, but then I’m always exhausted by the end of it. As my mom would say “stick a fork in me, I’m done!” (Love those mom quotes.) I also have the cold that I was able to avoid for weeks after everyone in my family caught it. So, unlike Linzi, I made exactly zero New Year’s resolutions. I did pick a word for the year (surrender). and I’m going to get back to my favorite eating and exercise program on Monday (sign up here–I swear you’ll never be hungry!), and I’d love to actually use the Ten Percent Happier app that I downloaded on my phone (has anyone used that??). But for now I’m going to take a nap. (Maybe more naps can be a resolution??) Anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying this last weekend of break and are finding time to relax in your own ways. I’m with Scotti today, y’all. We got up at 4 am CST to fly back home and arrived by like noon PST, and I don’t know what day it is and yeah, NAP. I hope everyone had a great week and is enjoying the last few days of holiday break. I rarely do resolutions because I’m just a live-by-the-moment (fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants?) kinda gal, but I do want to do a year-ahead reading in the next day or two from this gorgeous animal spirit guide deck I just got from The Wild Unknown. I love a tarot reading here and there to get me out of my own way and thinking about things differently. I’m also attempting to commit to the 1 Second A Day app again to capture a tiny video from each day that will hopefully be strung into a lovely memory piece by the end of the year. Happy New Year, everyone! There’s something about 2020 that makes me think this is going to be my favorite year. The number has such a great ring to it, and I have so many great things planned for this upcoming year — one of which is a Thailand trip! I’ll be headed there with some of my besties the first week of June, and I cannot wait. We booked the trip a few months back and ever since I keep buying outfits for it. So far, I have two super-cute dresses, and I’m still on the hunt for a few other pieces. Anyway, even though the holidays are officially over, I’m still in that strange limbo of not knowing what day of the week it is. Time seems non-existent to me right now — but in the best way! Things will be back to normal though in a few short days as I get back into full-blown work mode. Well, we did it. We made it through the holidays and I am pooped. I did absolutely NOTHING for NYE and I am not afraid to admit it. I sat on the couch and read my book until I fell asleep waaaay before midnight. And today, we managed to sneak away for a weekend in New Buffalo on Lake Michigan — where even the coffee shop is closed for winter — but I’m getting that quality time with my family and life is good. As for sales this week, I met the shoes of my DREAMS. Seriously, they’re PERFECT (please bury me in them).
