It’s Sales Report time again!

While we jump into the topic of sales, we published a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Best Finds & Predictions article earlier today that’s such a fun read (and helpful, too). Go take a peek and see if you remember any of the oldies but goodies like these Vince Sneaker boots (you can find on sale at Bloomie’s right now!!) And let the countdown to the Anni Sale begin…Nordstrom’s preview drops next Friday, 7/24.

Cute Summer Gear From J.Crew, Athleta, ABLE & More

Other than Anniversary Sale, I’ve got t-shirt dresses on the brain. They’re all I’ve been wanting to wear this summer because…no pants OR thinking…and our team managed to find the cutest ones on sale. Laura’s loving this little striped number from J.Crew and I oddly don’t mind that it’s red, white & blue. It’s easy & chic.

And if you happen to be swooning over Shana’s old LBD in the featured image, you’re in luck: I found this one that’s verrrry close for under $100. I would just give it a little twist if I wanted the cut-outs to show up front. (Click through and you’ll see what I mean…)

More fun finds below…happy weekend.

Laura’s Sale Picks

Hey, Friday. I’m a little thrown off this week because we did a mid-week camping trip to the Oregon coast for a night. It was our first night away anywhere since the quarantine started and goodness was it a much-needed break. I was starting to identify way too closely with this video of Moira clips. Unlike a large faction of The Mom Edit, camping is my happy place. Haha. (Love you, my other fancy team members.) Waking up outside and having coffee by a campfire. Gah. Give me all of that. Don’t get me wrong, coming back home to sleep in my own cozy bed is always nice afterward, but getting away makes me appreciate that bed even more, especially right now. We just got home and I’m already itching to go back. Give me a spot in the woods by a river or across from the beach like we were this time. All-renewing!

Sales are fun this weekend, y’all. I keep eyeing this gorgeous white & blue dress from J.Crew (which has a bunch of stuff on sale for 50% off!) And these boyfriend shorts from American Eagle are so great. I swear their denim shorts are literally the softest. I like that those have a little length on them. Aerie makes my favorite bralettes that actually support and this new style looks even more supportive and comes in a bunch of colors! Hoping y’all find a little time to do something renewing, too, this weekend. xoxo

Hi folks! Another quarantine week in the books. How are you guys feeling about the school year? I posted a bit about our situation here (along with a link to the vegan truffles I’ll be making this weekend to soothe my confused soul…) and the comments are kinda fascinating. Different regions are taking such different approaches to the school year! Lana and I just started a new reading program (“4 Weeks to Read” — one week in, I’m already extremely hopeful! She wakes up every day asking to read, which is a stark contrast from the moody, frustrated kiddo who wanted nothing to do with reading prior…anyway…) and I can already tell that my homeschooling game could use some…work? Even with the assistance of a fully-designed program, I’m finding that the more prepped I am for each lesson (mentally and physically), the more smoothly they go. Mind-blowing realization, right? For someone who loves to be organized, this should be second nature, but the motivation so far is still lacking. August should be interesting!

Until then, I’ll bury myself back in the escapism of sales. My all-time favorite ALLSAINTS trench is on sale at below-NSale prices in the prettiest blush color. If you have been following me for the past year, you know how much I adore this piece. It’s drapey, flattering, elegant and (favorite word) easy. True to size (it’s intentionally oversized). And my new favorite paper-bag waist chambray pants that I keep raving about are under $50 this weekend with code GREAT at J.Crew. They’re truly seasonless — I styled ’em up 11 ways from the office to the beach here. Also TTS. Also just picked up this everyday tiered dress, which is $49 (size down one) — and seriously considering this gorgeous halter dress with loads of volume, the prettiest back details (click through!) and POCKETS. The cinnamon color is just lovely. A splurge on sale, but the design is just so good. Plus I love Verishop’s quick shipping and returns. Have a great weekend!

Well, happy Friday all! Another week has flown by and I am feeling pretty great. I spent much of the week reading, and for the first time in a very long time, I found myself entranced and lost in the world of fiction. I recently read “One to Watch” by Kate Stayman-London and cannot recommend the book enough! It’s about a plus-size fashion blogger who is cast as the “Main Squeeze” (think: The Bachelorette). The book is captivating and retells the story of Bea in such an authentic way. It highlights the good and the bad that comes as a person who shares their life in the public eye. Bea is both adored and fat-shamed all in the same breath and this book hit so close to home for me. It also had me daydreaming about designer fashion and name-dropped tons of different plus-size fashion designers throughout the book (all of which I took note).

Some of the items I’ve picked for today’s sale were inspired by Stayman-London’s book. I’m dreaming of this stunning white peplum style dress from SANCHIN & BABI and these gorgeous gold hoops that are now 60% off at Nordstrom. There are tons of sales going on this week, including a stellar summer sale at 11Honore; I just bought these Baja East billow pants and can’t wait to style them! J. Crew is also running a “GREAT” sale this week and you can receive an extra 50% off of full-priced items. I hope you all have a great weekend — filled with some R&R and a little reading! XX – Kat

Hey guys! Hope everyone is hanging in there and finding some simple ways to enjoy the summer. We’ve been staying very close to home this year, and to keep myself grounded I’ve been finding peace in gardening. I never thought I’d ever say that I love gardening, but it’s been a small Godsend to be able to watch things flourish and grow — a reminder that life is full of beauty and continual rebirth. But enough hippie talk, let’s get into the sales…

This week J.Crew is having an awesome 50% off sale (just enter the code: GREAT) on all their greatest summer hits including gorgeous dresses, rompers and jumpsuits. Also, Nordstrom has some stunningly great deals (like up to 70% off) sandals, dresses and more. AND one of my most-worn pairs of jeans by PAIGE are currently 50% off at Shopbop. So happy shopping, ya’ll!

Happy weekend, everyone! So my big recommendation this week? ABLE’s Community Collection. You may know how much I love this company, because one: they make amazing products and two, they’re all about transparency and helping women in poverty (among other causes). About their Community Collection, they say that “what unites us is far stronger than what divides us...Our mission at ABLE has always been about justice for women, born from a belief that we all belong to one another. This is community, and our choices impact each other, down to our most basic pursuits of health, safety, and equality. We are more than important to each other, we are responsible to each other.” I especially love that line that we all belong to one another. 10% of sales from their The Together Line will be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative, “as they work to end mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality,” and 10% of sales from their The Empowered Line will be donated to the Loveland Foundation, as they “show up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls.” It’s obviously a great way to give back and I’m loving that white tee that says “Let’s Lift Each Other Up.” Let’s do it, shall we?
