Gang – did you survive Black Friday? I find browsing the sales from the comfort of my phone helps retain my sanity and faith in humanity. I did snag a few things that were going fast, but exercised willpower because I was waiting for the big one. That’s right, Cyber Monday! The sheer number of sales and complicated discount structures give me a bit of a headache, that’s why I like Overstock’s straightforward sale. Awesome discounts on in-demand gifts (along with great “white elephant” gifts – Caticorn throw pillow, anyone? Maybe the Patrick Swayze dirty dancing with a sloth shower curtain is more your style) make it worth a stop on your Cyber Monday web crawl. Want to see our top gift picks for virtually everyone on your list?

Prismacolor Premier 150-piece Colored Pencil Set – Have you guys tried Prismacolor? The colored pencils are super high-quality (think smooth, saturated colors, not scratchy and easily breakable like regular kids’ versions). Shana’s boys can vouch for the fabulousness of this set, and it could be the hit gift for a hard-to-buy-for tween/teen. Pair it with one of those super intricate adult coloring books & a bottle of wine as the perfect present for a bestie, favorite family member, or me.

Kate Spade Quilted Leather Watch – I love the look of a substantial watch in winter with cozy sweaters, faux fur vests, you name it. What I don’t like? The freezing cold metal strap. Problem solved with the superluxe quilted black leather strap, and the gold accents look pretty with holiday sparkle. I’d get this for my mom or fave new grad.

Spy Drone with Video + Photo Quadcopter – How cool is this toy spy drone that can take video and pretty high quality images? Other things you might find amazing: flip stunt mode, 3 speeds, built-in gyro and a slew of other features I don’t understand but your kids will. (For big kids, too – Shana’s hubs has it, loves it!)

Ugg Men’s Cold Weather Boots – Winter is coming – or already here, what’s up Midwest! A dressier option than hiking or snow boots and just as waterproof & warm – they’re lined in that heavenly sheepy stuff we love. Another rave review from Shana’s hubs who can’t say enough good things about them (hmm, maybe Mike is the new shopping enabler…)

FHI Professional Ceramic Tourmaline 1-inch Flat Iron – I’m a recent convert to the church of flat iron and I’ll never go back. Sorry, curling iron. This 1-inch flat iron size is perfect for adding more volume than I thought possible to my new pixie cut (post coming soonish!) and it makes gorg grown-up curls. Reviewers love it.

Mercedes Benz E550 Riding Toy – I have lost my ability to even. I imagine their little faces would look similar to mine if I was surprised with a cherry red Mercedes convertible. How adorable as they’re cruising by at a max speed of 2.5 mph?

Suunto Men’s Core Digital Watch – Another recommendation from a hubby, this time mine! He’s worn a Suunto every day I’ve known him, and for all kinds of outdoor activities – triathlons, hiking, snorkeling, running, biking, etc. Cool features your outdoorsman will love: altimeter that auto tracks & records your ascent/descent during climbs, barometer with storm alarm (necessary safety for mountain/ski enthusiasts!), compass, stopwatch + timer, sunrise/sunset and water-resistant to 100 ft. Whew.

Discovery Kids Castle Block Set – We got my daughter a set of wooden castle blocks on her 1st birthday; she’s still playing with them 4 years later and so is baby sister. It seems kids are initially drawn to shiny, battery-powered plastic, but tire of it quickly and always return to simple, old-fashioned toys that provide imaginative hands-on play. (God, how old do I sound?!) There are seriously a million castles to build with the 69 different pieces and a wide range of ages can play. I’m thinking nieces, nephews, your kids, my kids. Two snaps up in a Z formation.

Ugg Women’s Moccasin Slipper Shoes – See, there’s “shoes” in the name, feel free to wear out of the house! So much more socially acceptable than the obvious slippers I wore to the mall last week. Dignity be damned, nothing was going to hold me back from an appointment with the Nordstrom bra whisperers. Learn from my mistake, wear cuter slippers. Love the black leather; I’m dropping hints to my preschooler hoping they don’t get lost in translation on the way to hub’s ears. Know who else would love these? Grandmas, sisters, aunts, grads, any special lady that likes cozy toes.

Faux Fur Infinity Scarf – The model’s wearing that expression because she can’t quite believe just how cozy she’s feeling. I am obsessed with faux-fur cowl scarves, they’re so easy to throw on when it’s cold and look great over cozy sweaters and soft tees, especially when a v-neck is feeling a bit chilly. This one comes in 4 colors and I love (want) them all. It’s a chic cheap gift for pretty much any stylish gal on your list including your nanny, kids’ teachers, hairdresser you adore, the mail lady? Also a smart pick to keep in stock for present emergencies.

Hope that helped you check more than a few people off your holiday shopping list! There are a ton more Cyber Monday deals to be had on Overstock – I’ve had ear climber/crawler earrings on the brain ever since Scotti’s holiday jewelry post.

Cheers!
Amanda

  1. I’d love that castle block set. My third son is the only one interested in building stuff (older brothers are more of the cars-and-digging-in-dirt types) and the only thing I have around for him to build with are soup cans. 😉
