Yay! We’re in Philly! We always love visiting, but there’s something extra special about being here during the holidays. Like Shana said, Philadelphia does the holidays best of all, and we love all of it. If it’s something straight out of a cheesy holiday movie, I’m totally in. Ice skating outside, Christmas shopping, visiting Santa, drinking mulled cider outdoors, caroling . . . OK, maybe I’ve gone too far. But ice skating? Check. Shopping? Obviously. Santa? Not yet. We tried to visit him at Frankford Hall (one of our favorite places in Philly) but, unfortunately for Greenlea, he wasn’t there. Fortunately for Shana and I, there was beer . . . and really, really good barbecue at Fette Sau, just next door. So we bought G a big ice cream cone (the cure-all for #toddlerproblems), ordered some food, and sat outside with our mulled cider beers and boys. (Minus Raines & Pax, who were at dance.) Not a bad way to spend a December afternoon.
What To Wear To Visit Santa*
*Santa’s presence not required. Ice cream and beer however, are.

Outfit Idea 1: Cute Sorels + Black Turtleneck + Faux Fur
We love our Sorel wedges here at TME. They’re insanely comfortable (as comfy as sneakers — we promise), they’re warm, and look legitimately cute. If there’s one boot we turn to to look chic and stay warm in the winter, it’s Sorel wedges.
Pairing the look with layers of black turtlenecks, and finishing off with faux-fur jackets (which come in varying degrees of warmth — I’ve rounded up a bunch below)…is a look that is surprisingly practical (even though it looks fancy). This is Shana’s go-to for Ice Skating, too.

Outfit Idea 2: Layers of Gray + Shearling Boots + Cute Parka
Continuing our never-ending quest to wear gray sweaters to all the things….Shana paired hers with gray(ish) skinny jeans for a monochromatic look. Going monochrome has become one of our very best go-to tricks when we want to look a little fancier. She topped it off with a cute beanie and parka, and added those shearling hiking-inspired boots that seem to be everywhere this season.

I love the faux fur coat you’re wearing, but is the color you’re wearing ivory? And does it run TTS? Thanks!
When I lived in Michigan I swore by Sorels and a faux fur jacket combo! You gotta spice things up on there in the winter lol.
You all look fabulous! Love these looks!! And I have to agree that Philly has really stepped up it’s Christmas game lately! So much fun to be had here around the holidays!
Yes – what size is Scotti’s faux fur coat? Adding it to my Christmas list…
