Recently I linked to a go-to ruched t-shirt dress of mine on Nordstrom that was quite popular but is sadly almost sold out. Well, internet-scouring led me to this $25 super similar version on Amazon. Hooray! I got it in the other day and love it. It’s so similar to the Treasure & Bond ruched dress I have in black, so I thought I’d take a minute to style it up with a few different pieces (including my back-in-stock favorite slide sandals!).

Cute & Affordable: Amazon Ruched T-Shirt Dress, 8 Ways

I ordered the ruched dress in this gorgeous red, since I already have the Leith dress in black (seen here on Scotti), but it’s available in an array of great colors — black included. If you don’t have a good t-shirt dress, I’d say the black is a fabulous choice for versatility, but gah…this crimson red is so good! It fits true to size, which is always a bit of a gamble with Amazon finds, but I tried both the S and the M, and am wearing the S here.

I styled up this cute, casual dress eight ways, with a variety of shoes, both sandals and sneakers, and a few different accessories. Here’s how to wear it.

Amazon Ruched Bodycon Dress With Sandals

1. Ruched Dress + White Birkenstocks

Since these are currently my favorite shoes, I threw them on first. I love the fresh white sandal for perking up any color for summer. So good. And a tiered necklace is my current easy styling trick for all things #quarantine. Pop on a crossbody in a fun snake print to…carry your phone around so you stop losing it in the house? K.

2. Ruched Bodycon Dress + Black Slides

These are my favorite black sandals and they’re back! They were out of stock for so long. Party. They’re so cushiony and sporty, but not too sporty. They go with so much! I’m wearing them right now. I’m actually thinking of following through with this house-purse thing. Maybe wearing belt bag around the house as I tidy up will help me collect ALL THE LEGOS and tiny things strewn about. Yes. We’re onto something here.

4. Amazon Ruched Dress + Platform Sandals

I’ve had these since last year and a good platform shoe does wonders for the calves. I love the snake print sandals for a little pop of print, but taupe or white sandals would also be good with this deep red. Oooh…or this fun version of the ones I’m wearing below! Um, you could harken back to the mid-90s and snag yourself some of these platform sandals that I rocked all through college, but omg…those things were so heavy, and I don’t recommend, even though they’re back. What the heck?

5. Ruched Mini Dress + Taupe Espadrilles or Flats

A shoe the color of your skin tone will be the most leg-lengthening. I love a suede flat or espadrille for pairing with so many things all summer. If you find that certain dresses or shorts cut off the look of your legs, throw on a neutral sandal or flat and voila! Longer legs!

6. Ruched Dress Van Slip-ons

Vans slip-ons with dresses. Always. They just add a cool street vibe that keeps the dress from looking too precious, and that’s always the goal for me. Plus, I love the graphic print pop of the black and white check.

7. Amazon Ruched T-Shirt Dress + High Tops

These are some of my very favorite shoes, but they look just ok with this outfit. I like the denim shirt around the waist, but here I think I’d prefer a white sneaker instead of the broken-in look like these P448s. They don’t seem to be making these mid tops anymore, and I’m so sad because it’s my favorite. Ooh, but Converse makes a mid version of the Chuck Taylor, and these look good! And they’re a bright fresh white that would make this look feel more summery.

8. Ruched Dress + Golden Goose or Printed Sneakers

You know I love my animal print and my Golden Goose sneakers. They have a little lift in the heel that just makes them oh-so-flattering and their style is oh-so-cool. I realize they are an investment piece, but there are some fab dupes out there like these from Steve Madden. I can attest to their cuteness IRL and comfiness! Shop More Ruched Bodycon T-Shirt Dresses

The t-shirt style is hard to find in a ton of options, so I included some of my favorite tank style dresses with the flattering waist ruching, too, including our team-favorite Leith tank dress. I found a cute maternity option, as well, for you mamas-to-be. This was one of my favorite styles to wear when I was pregnant.

Hope your week is off to a good start, friends. I found a couple of gorgeous maxi style dresses on Amazon yesterday (here and here) that I’ll style up for you soon, so stay-tuned! Those are always tricky for us shorties, but I’m envisioning just floating around the house in them, and lounging on the front porch with a cocktail in something like those. Gonna do my best to seek out some reasonable finds for us all right now.
