Homeschooling Tip: Always Look Fabulous, Dahling!

“I just answered your question 10x, Sweet Little Sunshine. Do you want me to answer once more? OKAY, but only if you promise to ask me again right after.”

“Why would you think I forgot about your Zoom class with your teacher? I would never!….Oh, (shit). Yes. I did forget. Oh, well! There’s always next time (or the time after that, because I’ll probably forget again)”

“You want more food, my darling, darling child? Just give me one moment to sit here and contemplate the fact that I…LITERALLY JUST FED YOU TEN SECONDS AGO. Ah, sorry, my love! Mama just about lost her (mother f*ckin’) mind, my apologies. I am here to serve you and serve you I will do. Lunch will be served in 5, my boo boo bears!”

“I’ll sit here all day at this very table for hours upon hours upon hours, My Sweets. Nothing could tear me away…not the laundry, the dishes, the dog fur rolling around on the floors like tumble weeds, the looming deadline I have. Nothing! Take all (damn) day if you please!”

Shop The Set: BURU Safari Shirt & Shorts (I am wearing a Small up top, Medium on bottom) – its probably my favorite thing right now…and it comes in white, too. Both the top and bottoms can be worn together or separately. Also, the top can be worn as a light jacket. I mean…HELLO.

Oh, what’s that? You want to know how I did this little set-up? Easy peasy. Honestly, easier than anything you could ever do (like homeschool your own children or stay at home for months on end). Let me show you how I essentially manage to look like I’m doing an editorial fashion shoot every morning while sitting at the dining room table corraling my troop of monkeys.

It just comes down to a few additions – normal things to have lying around the house, really…

A simple umbrella light (you really must achieve ultimate lighting) and a box fan (windswept hair is a given, of course) do the trick! It really just becomes a part of the morning routine. Kid A knows to grab the light, Kid B switches on the fan…aaaaand Kid C is totally un-phased. Voila!

Isn’t homeschooling so funny?! haha!…ha..ha..

Really, though. This is all you need to pull off a flawless schooling lewk at home.

Here’s to the glamour, the style, the straight class that is quarantine fashion, ladies.

P.S. In total seriousness, Morgan, founder of BURU is one of the most fabulous mamas I have ever witnessed. She inspired me to wear this short set, even though I really have no where to go. It truly made me feel incredible! Also, I am working on an additional post to show you how I have been styling this set a few different ways.
