Hey, hey, Friday! This week has totally flown by, and how how is it July tomorrow??? My friend Posy and I started an iced-coffee crawl this week, where we’re visiting a variety of places (we’ve done boba and ice cream in summers past!). And let’s just say that after three days of camping, that was a good week to drink some iced coffee, haha. So far, Portlanders, Happy Cup has been our favorite! And definitely make the trek to my neighborhood of St. Johns if you haven’t had the pistachio croissant at Sparrow yet. GAH.
Sales are really lovely right now, and I really want to try this linen shirt from Everlane, this gorgeous, long cover-up (white or black?), and honestly AllSaints’ whole sale section at Nordstrom.
ONE: The Franco Sarto lug-sole loafers I’ve loved for years now are on sale in most colors at Nordstrom. They’re super-comfy and were definitely one of my top picks in my big loafer try-on of the past. True to size and all-around great. TWO: AllSaints Anna tees are some of my favorite flattering basics. The light blue is on sale at Bloomie’s right now. TTS. Wearing a US 6. I love how it’s fitted at the sleeves but hangs beautifully around the midsection. So good, and they come in a bunch of colors. A few left in a pretty Aruba blue here too.

Happy Canada Day & Fourth of July, friends!! Today Ozzie has his first-ever play performance. He’s playing a coach who teaches monsters how to be scary and has been practicing his RAWRS all week. (I die.) G has her own performance next week (she’s a part of “Beacon on the Rock” here in Marquette), and I’m so looking forward to watching her do something she loves. I’m still forcing her encouraging her to find a sport she likes after she one day declared she is “not a sports person.” After watching her glare at me through basketball camp and shoot death stares at me during running camp, I’m happy to be supporting something she loves. (Oh, but we WILL find that sport…)

Happy Friday, beautiful people! I’m so looking forward to the weekend because my bestie is coming to spend a few days with me. It’s been a hot minute since we’ve spent time with each other IRL, and I can’t wait to just hang out, laugh a lot and eat some stellar dinners together. I’m feeling uber-grateful because this summer in particular, most of my besties will be making a trip to Colorado, which is perfect timing since this will be my last Colorado summer for the foreseeable future. ONE: P.E. Nation has quickly become one of my favorite brands, and I’m obsessed with this asymmetrical top that I recently purchased. I’m wearing the XL, and while I love it for workouts, I think it looks super-cool with cargos too.
TWO: I know, I know — we’re not thinking about warm and fuzzy jackets right now, but since it’s only $49 I had to share. The weather and the sales are heating up, and it’s feeling all buzzy and exciting this weekend! I’m ready to go spend the next few days at the beach, and if those dang stingrays will just stay away, maybe I’ll actually get in the ocean. (I watched as THREE people all from different groups got stung the other afternoon — and of course a 10-ish year old was far more happy and spunky about it then the other two adults, lol.)

ONE: This top is the perfect thing to reach for when you want to be covered up, but it’s toasty outside (err, like me right now as I’m trying to protect a sunburn — whoops). It’s breezy, *ultra-comfortable,* and has a shape that perfectly pairs with just about anything in your closet! Naturally oversized and multiple colors to choose from.
TWO: I wear these shorts all the time. They’re a cotton-viscose blend and incredibly lightweight, with an extra-wide leg and a waistband that’s easily rolled. Julieta’s Top Sale Picks
I’m so thankful my mom and sister are here. My kids are doing “Abuelita and Tia Camp,” and they love it. My sister is 21 and full of creativity and energy, and my mom makes the most delicious food. Ron and I grew up in Colombia without knowing what a summer camp — let alone a camp-away — was, so even after many years of living here, we keep it minimal. Of course, when family can’t come, we have to manage. But for now, my kids are home this summer, and we saved that money for our trip to Colombia.
Now, this weekend I’m into comfort and jewelry. This Athleta romper caught my eye, and now I want it in all the colors. And for jewelry: These huggie drop earrings by Argento Vivo look amazing and have great reviews.

ONE: Free People Floral Sundress (S) – It has pockets and comes in more colors. It’s the most forgiving and fresh dress. The one thing I’m not sure about is that it doesn’t feel too safe if you wear it without the straps it comes with. However, I will try it with double-sided tape to keep it in place because I’m seriously in love with it. Love the back and silhouette, and it makes me feel amazing.

Happy Friday from Austin, friends! As I write this I’m sitting at the airport, awaiting the arrival of my Ohio Bestie. I’m listening to a romance novel and drinking a smoothie and desperately avoiding the beckoning scent of BBQ wafting toward me from all directions of the concourse. We have BBQ plans of our own this afternoon. Must. Resist.
This weekend (between bites of BBQ and dabbing at boob sweat, no doubt — it is hot here), I’ll be shopping Anthro’s sale-on-sale (this batwing blouse is so elevated and cool; plus sizes available). Also eyeing these breezy shortalls as a not-too-mumsy cover-up. And I have and love these leggings in the black — they’re so sleek and supportive, with a waist that doesn’t shimmy down and pockets galore. Thinking of getting them in the pretty silver violet while they’re just $33.
ONE: I’ve been playing around with styling up this linen shirt dress I finally ordered from J.Crew. The details are so good — pretty gathering at the shoulders and back yoke, with a boxy fit that can do no wrong and side-seam pockets. The luxe Irish linen is gorgeously soft too. So classic. Wearing a small. Currently 40% off. (also: similar bag | sandals)
TWO: Just gonna keep mentioning that these Pureboosts are a cool $63, usually $140. They’re excellent for running (especially short, daily runs, for which they were designed), but they’re also what I’ve been wearing for walking all over town. This reddish mauve color is an especially pretty pop of color with leggings too. Size down half.

Any other Midwesterners sick of this smoke in the air?? Our air quality has been so bad this week due to the forest fires in Canada. My eyes and lungs have been burning all week long, and we’ve been told to stay inside. BOO. Supposedly it’s supposed to clear up this weekend, but it’s definitely been no fun this week not being able to spend much time outdoors. I get enough indoor time during winter.

Summer has finally arrived in Colorado, and baby, it’s hot outside! I love it. Summer weather is the best reason for bare shoulders and shades. Lately, I’ve been inspired by brights — bold primary colors and neons, specifically.
There are so many great sales going on this weekend because of the holiday. I’ve already picked up this vermillion-color workout tank, and I’m eyeing this brilliant blue sweater as well as this lime linen dress.

After spending the early pandemic years and my pregnancy in athleisure, I’m in the mood to wear dresses and denim again. I’m a couple sizes bigger now than I was pre-pregnancy.
