Summer vacation is officially here! It kind of snuck up on me this year–days long, years short or something like that? It goes fast, mamas.
Last week I told you guys I would report back on these Jeffrey Campbell sandals and I did NOT like them. I didn’t realize how far away that heel would be from the actual end of my foot. I kept thinking I’d fall backwards in them–for someone with balance issues, they’re probably not a great idea. But they are super cute and comfy even, so…if balance isn’t an issue, they may be for you! 😜 (And they’re still 25% off!)
A purchase I did like? This tank…I love the neckline and the slightly cropped length, but especially the price. At $11.40, I’ll be buying every color, #thankyouverymuch. (I sized up to a medium for a fit that wasn’t too snug and it’s perfect!)

ONE: Those white pants I found from NYDJ (aka Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, which is hilarious thinking back to Ain’t No Mom Jeans) are FINALLY on sale in white, khaki and black colors. (They do run big, so order 1-2 sizes down. I’m wearing a 2 here, usually 6/28.) **The cami I’m wearing is also on sale in yellow and a bunch of other colors here (I’m loving the kiwi colada beige–both the name and the color).
TWO: I’m so obsessed with this wrap belt that I may have to get one or both of the other colors it comes in (also on sale!)–although the bronze color is perfect for summer and goes with everything. (I love the way the model is wearing it, too.)

Hey, hey, Friday! We’re still bopping along in the school year here, but next week it wraps up for us finally. I’m heading to see my favorite band ever this weekend that only has one album…The Highwomen. IYKYK. They got me through 2020 and I am SO stoked to see them live at the Gorge Amphitheater. I’ve never been to that gorgeous venue, to see Brandi Carlile and that super-group kill it on Sunday, well…I can’t believe it’s finally here. This week has been the WORST thanks to some bug going around here, so I can’t think of a better way to end it than on such a high note. -I’ll be here all weekend 😉

It isn’t see-thru, is so lovely on and fits great thanks to the pretty wide tie at the back. It also fits my hips and has adjustable straps, meaning I could pop in some bra cup liners, tighten them and go. No stick-on bras needed. I’m so happy and it’s on sale — 30% off with code YOURS. Well hi, friends! I took last weekend off of the sales report because Chris and I were celebrating my 40th in Healdsburg, and it was just the kid-free couple of days we needed. We spoiled ourselves silly with food, drink and pool time and it was the perfect reminder that a little alone time goes a long way when it comes to mental health. Already planning my next getaway to Austin with The Ohio Bestie. Really milking this 40 thing for all it’s worth…
Sales this week: I’ve got this denim jumpsuit in my cart – the details are fun and it feels so wearable (use GapCash or code YOURS to save 30%), and I’m fairly certain J.Crew renamed my ’90s slub tee (ok, mine might be slightly more cropped) and it’s currently on sale in loads of colors. The thicker weight and subtle texture of the tee, plus the close fit, make it look a little more polished than slouchier white tees I own. It’d be perfect with these high-waisted, wide-leg jeans I’ve been eyeing this week. Reviews say the color isn’t quite as warm as pictured, which I think I’d prefer.
Not only is this exact outfit still on sale (top/bottoms), Vuori just added a new color of the Clean Elevation Leggings I’m wearing to their sale section – a gorgeous deep green that would wear so well all four seasons. These are my favorite of all Vuori’s leggings. They’re buttery, with an almost suede-like feel, and the high, wide waistband is so comfy. Also in shorts, and there’s a matching bra, too.

Today is the last day of my little mini beach getaway trip visiting my parents, so I thought I would try to make this morning extra special by getting up before the crack of dawn so I could watch the sun rise on my morning walk. Apparently, I didn’t really think this plan through because I found myself in the pitch black of pre-dawn, barefoot on a beach notoriously covered in seashells, unable to see a thing. And wouldn’t ya know it, with my very first step, my foot landed directly on top of a dead puffer fish. Suffice it to say, my sunrise moment was ruined while I spent the next 20 minutes frantically Googling “death by puffer-fish” instead.
As for sales, I’m having a hard time saying no to Saks’ Designer discount selection. SO MUCH good sale stuff right now!
