I love the holidays. Like lovelovelove everything about them. Much to my husband’s chagrin, I always try busting out our holiday decor weeks before I should, and my daughter, Greenlea, was right there with me this year. I’ve literally never seen anyone more excited about decorating a tree. So when Shana brought us to Miracle on South 13th Street when we were visiting Philly, I thought Greenlea was going to lose her mind. This street has one of the coolest displays of holiday lights I have ever seen, and it’s pretty magical to see it through the eyes of a 4-year-old. We got coffee (a vanilla steamer for G) and strolled around looking at the amazing decorations before taking some family pics in front of the Christmas tree in Passyunk Square. Family and Christmas decorations. There’s no better way to spend an afternoon than with your favorite people surrounded by your favorite things. (OK, maybe add some wine . . . which we did, after the pictures.)
Abercrombie has always been one of my favorite places for denim and cozy sweaters, and they’ve also been killing it lately with their coats and parkas. I wore mine the ENTIRE time I was in Philly, and have been wearing it at home since (in much colder temperatures). It’s actually warm and cute . . . usually, you have to choose one or the other. We were all comfy and warm as we strolled around looking at the lights.

Black, White & Red all Over
I’m always more comfortable in neutrals like shades of grey and black and white, but adding pops of bright red makes everything look better.

Pattern Mixing
Zack is the king of pattern- (and color-) mixing. I never would have thought to combine these, but the colors work so well together.
