I nursed my first baby for 2 1/2 years. I didn’t really have any strong feelings about nursing until after she was born, and then I absolutely fell in love. I ultimately had to stop nursing her because my doctors wanted me to have a breast MRI (both Shana and our mom had early-onset breast cancer) and the results aren’t very clear with nursing breasts. I remember sobbing the night before I stopped nursing her because I thought I was losing that intimate bonding time that just the two of us shared. I wasn’t. I mean, the end of nursing is definitely bittersweet because it is such a sweet time with your babies. But now that I’ve been nursing my second for over a year, I’m looking forward to the day when I can snuggle him in my arms without him wiggling down trying to get my boob in his mouth. #goals
Now that I have over three years of nursing experience, I consider myself somewhat of an expert on nursing attire. I’ve tried lots and lots of bras out there. And nursing bras are tricky. So many of them seem to cross the line from bra to harness. And while a harness is somewhat necessary in those first few weeks (at least for me it was), you still don’t want it to look like one. So we decided to round up the top 10 prettiest nursing bras out there. And since my favorite bras to nurse in are almost always bralettes that aren’t necessarily made for nursing, I’ve included bralettes. So here are the top 10 prettiest nursing bras—and bralettes—we’ve found for nursing mamas.
p.s. The TMExVoloshin Morgan top has been perfect for nursing (thanks to that open back) and it’s currently 50% off!! Here are my outfit details from above:
