Sustainable Jeans Try-On Sesh: AGOLDE

As we move to find more sustainable brands we love, I decided to do a little deeper dive into AGOLDE jeans. They are not only sustainable, but somehow manage to have great washes, too. A tough find.

5 Pairs (Almost) Of AGOLDE Jeans Tried & Reviewed

OK, so I technically tried five pairs y’all, but two are the same fit with different washes, and one, well, you’ll see below. My first pair of jeans from AGOLDE were actually good white straight legs, purchased early last year. It’s so hard to find good white jeans, so I’m not sure why it took me this long to do a full AGOLDE try-on!

Shana and I both have a pair of the Parker Cut-off shorts and we adore them (I sized up). Then I got this pair of ’90s loose-fit last fall from Verishop. So good. It’s been a minute since I did a good ol’ jeans try-on sesh and it’s one of my favorite things to do, so let’s get to it! **This post has been updated for May 2021 to link to in-stock items!

AGOLDE Riley Ripped Super High Waist Crop (My Favorite)

at Revolve (similar wash) | at Nordstrom (lighter wash)

OK, the Riley ripped super high-waist crop were my absolute favorite! (links to similar wash, in stock) They are stretchy but still have an amazing vintage-y wash. This is hard to come by, friends. They fit true to size, have a nice high waist, and are a great ankle length if you’re 5’4″ like I am. I am thinking these will be my spring jeans to wear with flats and sneakers this year, and I can actually leave the hem on them. Party!

True to size on this pair. Since they were my favs, I included an additional pic with my rad Saucony sneakers I raved about here. If you want a rigid denim pair in a RAD wash with no knee distressing, get these.

I love the Parker cut-offs, so thought I'd dive deeper into AGOLDE to check out their '90s fit, their ripped super high-waist & a few more pairs of jeans.

AGOLDE Nico Distressed High Waist

at Revolve | at Nordstrom

Besides the style I already have, these were my second fav. SUCH a cute black skinny with a bit of knee distressing…my go-to jean style for YEARS now. These have stretch but are substantial (not a thin denim, that is) and a nice high waist. Really thinking of upgrading my worn out black skinnies to these this year. They’re cute cuffed, too, since the inside is as dark as the outside fabric. Sized up in these and that was the right choice.

AGOLDE Jamie High Rise Classic

LOVE the wash on these Jamie High Rise Classics. They’re flattering on the booty, too. I sized up in these since they don’t have any stretch, but they were too big in waist and tight in thighs still. These would be great if you have a straighter figure or less muscly thighs. If that’s the case, you probably don’t need to size up. These will definitely relax with wear being 100% cotton, so keep that in mind, too.

AGOLDE ’90s Mid Rise Loose Fit (In Two Colors)

These are such a great pair of jeans — so cool and remind me of the Topshop pair I fell in love with during the Nordstrom sale. They have a loose ’90s fit like the name says, but they aren’t TOO wide in the leg.

I love the distressing on a pair like this to keep them in my casual style range, instead of leaning more preppy/polished. Here I have them cuffed, and on the alternate views I have them full length. I’m just not on-board with that for myself yet, even though I’m starting to see it everywhere. What can I say?; I’m scandalous and like my ankles showing.

I’m wearing my true size in the black pair here, and they fit great. I had sized up in the blue pair this fall, and they’re so comfy for a more boyfriend/weekend fit jean. Both work!

AGOLDE Cherie High Rise Straight

OK, so um, I couldn’t even get these zipped a bit. Seeing as I’m not wanting to show you a pic of me with too-tight jeans and my knickers showing, here’s the product image. Heh. So cute, but definitely go up a size if not two.

Shop My Favorite AGOLDE Styles

You can find AGOLDE at some of our favorite sites…Nordstrom, Verishop, Revolve and more. I’ve included a variety here. Revolve seems to have the most sizes stocked right now overall. They each have a few different style/wash combos available.

Have you tried any AGOLDE styles you love? Or perhaps another style of sustainable jeans (we do love our Levi’s, too!)…let us know below! And if you like the Parker cutoffs I mentioned above, snap those up this time of year, as they always sell out closer to spring/summer!

  1. I appreciate these try-on roundups–it’s always so stressful to wonder whether a brand fits true to size or not, and especially so when the sizing varies among different styles in the same brand (like they do here). Thanks for doing the lord’s work on these!

  2. How do the Parker cut offs fit? Are they a decent length? Love cut offs long enough to be able to sit down comfortably..
Any pics of you wearing them?
    Thanks!

  3. Hi, there! I’ve just discovered The Mom Edit. Great stuff! I’m wondering if you can provide any info about the cut leopard print bag that’s in the background of the first pic? Thanks and keep up the good work!
