Fall Beauty Trends: Metallic Eyes

Products Used: MUFE Loose Glitter, Too Faced Glitter Glue, Stila’s Magnificent Metals Liquid Eye Shadow

Metallic powders and glittery shadows are everywhere . . . yaassssss!  I LOVE glitter.  On my nails, on my walls, on my shoes, in my coffee . . . kidding.  (But seriously, I’d probably order it if it existed – are you listening, Starbucks??).  I realize not everyone is as much as a glitter-fiend as I am so the good news is that there’s so many ways to get the metallic eye look this season.  (With or without glitter.)

Glittery Finish

This shadow has been one of my favorites since I first got it and is the easiest way to pull of this trend.  The sparkles are pretty without being overwhelming and the shadow won’t budge once you apply it.  Even though there’s a brush applicator (kind of like a lipgloss), I recommend using a smaller application brush (or even a q-tip or your finger) to avoid using too much product.  Concentrate the color on your lids, blending it up into the crease (see video above).  Add some mascara to really make your eyes pop.  I kept the rest of Anne’s makeup pretty neutral so her eyes would be the focal point of this look.

Wearing: Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Rose Gold Retro (Kitten Karma and Bronzed Bell are also gorgeous colors as well as In a Firenze, which I feature in the video above)

Clinique Long Last Glosswear in tenderheart (my all-time favorite neutral . . . not too pink or brown and it goes with everything and looks good on so many different skin tones).

Metallic Finish

If you’re not into the sparkly glitter finish, these metallic shadows are the way to go.  They’re highly pigmented so you only need a little and they look gorgeous when blended together OR worn alone.  Swipe them on your lids or use them as liner.  The great thing about this look is that it’s meant to be obvious and a little over the top so you don’t have to worry about perfect application. fall beauty trends metallic eye fall beauty trends metallic eye
