Finding a good winter coat that is both cute and keeps you warm is most definitely a challenging feat. This winter season, I’ve tried on what feels like a thousand coats, and I ended up finding some great ones that are both cute and cozy! I had never owned a long winter coat, in part because for many years I was unable to find one that fit me well. The best part is that all the winter coats I tried are now on super sale!
Warm & Cute: The Hunt For The Best Winter Coat
I ended up trying on some new Bernardo coats, which has been my tried and true FAV for several years now. I love the detailing of these coats, and they last forever! I also was able to try on a few other brands that were super warm and cozy without all the detailing that comes with a Bernardo. All the 411 of my coat try on session is below!
Winter Coat 1: Long Yet Flattering
The first coat I tried on is from Bernardo, and I loved everything about it! The length is perfect for me, especially since I have been looking for a coat with a more substantial length. This beauty has several different line details that accentuate an hourglass figure, and I really like that the bottom of the jacket has buttons to easily un-snap if you want a roomier fit when you sit down.

Winter Coat 2: Something For Mild Climates
I mentioned this jacket to you before, and it was my absolute FAV from all the coats I tried on in my search for the perfect Barbour jacket. This one is waterproof, and I think it works perfectly for warmer climates. It will definitely keep you warm while covering your bum bum. I love pieces that are simple and sleek, and this coat checks those boxes for me. The detailing on this jacket is super-subtle and includes angled sleeves, a high/low cut at the bottom and button detailing. I also love that this jacket is a bit oversized and that the inner lining of the jacket resembles Burberry.

Winter Coat 3: The Versatile One
This winter coat is a super-interesting option because it gives you length while also allowing you to rock it as a shorter option. This is a double-breasted winter coat, and as you can see from the different photos, it has two zipper linings. One extends past your knees and the other starts at the traditional length of a shorter jacket. The side panel detailing adds a little something extra, and the fabric is super-soft and has the perfect amount of filling.

Winter Coat 4: Parka With Faux Fur Trim
This jacket made me feel like Jennifer Lopez circa 2002 when she wore her amazing hooded fur parka for her music video. I personally prefer the black option over the yellow, and I really loved how ultra-plush this coat is. The detailing is very simple, but the jacket is definitely a statement piece.

Winter Coat 5: The Wearable Down Comforter
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my most recent coat purchase, which I love so much! It feels like I’m walking around with a comforter on, and it’s super long. I found this bad boy at TJ Maxx and was so surprised at how perfect this coat is. I will say it does feel like a little much when you are sitting in the car, but it’s perfect for walking the pups in sub-zero weather. The first time I wore this was in Denver at the Art Museum, and I have never gotten so many compliments on a jacket before! Unfortunately, I can’t find it online so I’ve linked to something similar below, but I would like to encourage you all to peruse at your local TJ Maxx to find this gem. P.s. TJs also now sells Bernardo jackets, which means you can find them for a steal!

I hope you all stay warm during the winter season, and find a great coat that works for your winter wonderland needs! xx – Kat
The mustard one is the same exact color as my favorite winter coat! I live in AZ so a nice thick toggle coat with sweatshirt material and room for layers does the trick in my climate!
Love your round up! xx
These look fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
On Linzi’s winter coat post, i shared a Universal Standard coat that i am obsessed with. They have really cool items in inclusive sizes. I really love their site. Anyway, the coat that I’ve been looking at for the past two winters is currently marked down to $90 from $230!!! I got it and am happy to say that I love it just as much in person!
