Lorelai and Rory have been in our lives for more than 20 years, and thanks in part to Netflix (and the fact that the show is, quite simply, iconically witty and heartfelt), The Gilmore Girls only gets more popular each year. Chances are you probably have someone in your life who would rather be living in Stars Hollow.
Okay, maybe that’s you, in which case please help yourself to any of the items on this list or pass it on to your family members with a wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
But the next best thing to actually sipping coffee at Luke’s or scoring a chair at Friday night dinner are the items I’ve compiled here for the Ultimate Gift Guide For The Gilmore Girls-Obsessed. As a diehard myself, and a self-appointed member of the Life and Death Brigade, I can assure you any of these items will make as good a gift as a handmade bracelet from Dean (or better, because #TeamJess).
Oy, with the poodles already!
1 | Oversized flannel: This one goes out to Luke, our plaid-loving, baseball cap-wearing keeper of the coffee. Or as Jess likes to poke fun, the Diner uniform. This flannel from Gap is one I own and love, and would make for the coziest gift!
2 | Luke’s sweatshirt: The best apparel and themed items are not ones that have “Gilmore Girls” emblazoned, but instead make it look like you actually purchased it during your last trip through Stars Hollow.
3 | The Ladies tee: I’m not saying that I’m purchasing all of these for myself, but I’m not not saying that, either. This tee rocking our favorite leading ladies is the cutest. Don’t forget the Dragonfly Inn or Kirk’s homemade tee, either!
4 | I’d Rather Be Watching Gilmore Girls sweatshirt: I actually purchased this myself back in 2016 for the Netflix revival and have worn it a thousand (yellow daisies) since. Highly recommend it!
5 | Lauren Graham’s book: Make Rory proud and give the gift of books this year! Lauren Graham’s memoir is a must read for any true fan, and you can even bundle it with her other two books: a charming novel about a young actress, and a book she wrote with advice + reflection for graduates.
6 | Stars Hollow poster: This artwork actually stopped me in my internet-browsing tracks. There is an entire line of Gilmore Girls-themed posters from this Etsy shop that are actually quite gorgeous. It’s almost too hard to choose!
7 | Luke’s coffee mug: Lorelai: Please, Luke. Please, please, please! Luke: How many cups have you had this morning? Lorelai: None. Luke: Plus? Lorelai: Five, but yours is better. Luke: You have a problem.
8 | Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee: The actor Scott Patterson who played Luke was genius enough to carry on the legacy of the show by starting his own coffee company! You can actually drink Luke’s delicious coffee. There’s a ton to choose from — go the sweet route with a seasonal flavor, or there’s even pods for your Keurig machine!
9 | Yale Hoodie…
9 | Yale sweatshirt: Yale apparel always seems to sell out really fast and I like to think it’s because of Rory. Hop on this one quick!
10 | Yale sweatpants: Because why just buy the top when you can make it a matching set?
12 | Dragonfly Inn keychain: Oops, you forgot to return your key at your last stay at the Dragonfly! I won’t tell.
13 | Stars Hollow market bag: Perfect size for filling with Pop Tarts and licorice for movie night on your next trip to Doose’s Market.
15 | Stars Hollow candle: One of the best gifts to give. If you want to bundle a few more, here’s another candle with epic reviews, and even Ulta is carrying a few Gilmore Girls themed candles (online only)!
Let’s be friends on Instagram! Sharing life from my sleepy little beach town, and daily style, with a good dose of chubby baby content too. There may or may not be a dedicated Gilmore Girls folder saved in my highlights.
PS: This one’s for the pinners…
