Donald has Covid; thoughts and prayers.
The Pandemic and Quarantine have people focusing energy on their homes with enthusiasm I’m not sure I’ve ever personally seen before — it’s amazing. People have been asking again, with renewed energy, about Shana’s Playroom, and specifically the FAMILY rug, which is available in both grey and multi-colored. While I wouldn’t wish Covid on anyone, nor for a Pandemic, nor for Quarantine, there have in fact been a few silver linings in terms of time at home and with family and that rug…well, right about now, it’s just more meaningful and fun.

1 | Mini Golf | Indoor mini golf is a game that will just NEVER get old around here! It’s great for rainy days, and all of those lovely 5-minute breaks from virtual school. It’s just flat out FUN!
2 | Oui Mug | Francophiles unite. J’adore. Carting one now. Gotta keep the coffee game am and afternoon tea games real around here, they help get me through.
3 | Dots and Stripes Throw | Super-cute addition to the end of a bed, for cuddle time on the sofa, movie night, and late nights on the patio around the fire.
4 | Solo Stove | Speaking of that fire, safest, least smoke, most compact and efficient, and super-pretty pit. No complaints about these, ever.
5 | Desk Fan | Anyone else feel like they need a little air moving right around them? Also, had to get this one in before S starts asking for new space heaters…before it even gets cold.
6 | Desk Chair | It comes in RED! It gets amazing reviews, is great looking for a desk chair, and is also available in a few other colors and on SALE!!!
7 | Stool | I find myself pulling stools up to help the kids with their work, and outside when friends come to the driveway and patio (outdoor physically distanced city living.) Stools help with everything, and this one comes in two finishes and two sizes, and is my all time favorite.
8 | Wash Your Hands, No Seriously Art | Just in case anyone still needs a reminder.
9 | Blue Rug | This is a favorite rug, and recently went on major sale!
10 | Grey Family Rug | The grey version of what’s in Shana’s Playroom, at the best price.
11| Multi–Color Family Rug | The multi-colored one that’s actually in Shana’s Playroom.
12 | Pouf | If there’s one pouf…there it is…that made me smile this week, it’s this easy-to-love, great textures and colors, and doesn’t cost a fortune.
Black-Owned Business Spotlight – Buck: A Memoir, M.K. Asante | Champions Of Literacy

Treehouse Books, an organization right here in Philadelphia, has an event through their Champions of Literacy Program, this Tuesday evening, 7:30-8:30 pm, titled: Why Black Books Matter. There’s a fee for the event, but it’s for a great cause, and the moderators include the author of a book that Oprah feels strongly about, and many others agree. So I’m going to try to read his book before Tuesday, so that the panel discussion is more meaningful when I get there. Join me in supporting this great cause?
