I’m not going to claim that I’m a minimalist by any means, but over the past year, I’ve cut back my wardrobe by about half, leaving room for a few new pieces I know I’ll wear again and again over the coming seasons — and one or two solid accessories that help bring everything together. I’ve been wanting a belt bag to fit the latter bill for a while now, but I was really torn between something that would fit into my daily casual wardrobe, and something I could dress up for weekends and evenings. In my mind, there wasn’t really an option that could be seamlessly integrated into both scenarios.
And then I found this Rebecca Minkoff number.
Rebecca Minkoff Leather Belt Bag = Magical Wardrobe Solution
I’m gonna go ahead and call this *big promise alert* the perfect belt bag. The size makes it something I could use seven days a week — big enough for my phone, wallet, lip gloss, a snack bar, and an item or two of miscellany (think: mini pack o’ crayons + tiny notebook). The leather + gold hardware combo is easily dressed up, while the quilted chevron pattern adds both visual interest and a sporty appeal. The pillowy leather will only get softer over time, which will help it sit even more naturally when it’s worn both high on the waist and crossbody style. And the scale is just insanely good. It’s hip and edgy and casual and feminine all at once, and it complements such a wide range of items already in my closet that I know it’ll get constant use.
Here are my fave ways to style it (so far!)
Belt Bag With a Pretty Floral Dress
Rebecca Minkoff Edie Belt Bag worn with
White Floral Dress (S) // Over-the-Knee Boots (TTS or 1/2 size up for boot socks) // Utility Jacket (Similar)
You know I love a flirty dress (and even moreso when it can be toughened up just a bit). I’d wear this to brunch or dinner, or a back-to-school night situation. Still loving these over-the-knee boots, too.
Belt Bag With a Breezy Top + Shorts

Rebecca Minkoff Edie Belt Bag worn with
Voloshin X TME Morgan Top (XS) // Acid Washed Shorts (XS) // Platform Huaraches (TTS)
I know you guys are torn on these acid-washed shorts, but I still can’t stop wearing them. They’re SO comfortable, the rise is perfect, they’re not too cheeky. Whole nine. And the pretty, breezy Voloshin X TME Morgan top is the perfect way to ground them a bit. I’d wear this to the beach (sub in flip-flops, obvs) and then to post-beach drinks or dinner.
Belt Bag With a Classic Jeans + Sweater Combo
Rebecca Minkoff Edie Belt Bag worn with
Gray Sweater (Similar) // Distressed Jeans (wearing a 25, TTS) // Black Pumps (TTS) // ALLSAINTS Trench (XS, super low stock) // Trucker Jacket (XS)
This is my fall denim uniform in a nutshell, so if the bag didn’t work in this application, it wasn’t gonna make the cut. Fortunately, I love the scale of the bag with jeans and an easy top — and I especially love how it still works even with a trench (still obsessed!) or an easy denim jacket. Just an easy, everyday look that I dig big time.
Belt Bag With an Easy Athleisure Look
Rebecca Minkoff Edie Belt Bag worn with
Adidas Skinny Joggers (XS, low stock! super similar style HERE // White T-Shirt (XS) // Stan Smiths (TTS) // Trucker Jacket (XS)
Not gonna lie: this is what I’m leaving the house in at least 3 days a week, so in that respect, I’m gonna go ahead and say I saved the best for last. Obsessed with the easy, slimming fit of these super comfy, classic Adidas joggers, and I maintain that this it the most flattering White T I’ve ever owned. The perfect getup for handsfree park play, errands, lunch out with the kiddo. Done and done.

We’ve got a rare sunny day happening here, so I’m about to take the wee one to the playground (wearing those joggers and the belt bag, as it happens). Let me know if you’re loving the ease of belt bags as much as me!
