My Favorite Hidden Gem from the NSale That’s Not To Be Missed

There have been a bunch of clear hits from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year with things selling out left and right, which can feel maddening. Especially if you’ve been waiting to shop until the sale opened up publicly to everyone.

The most helpful tip, in my opinion, is to save your favorite pieces to your Nordstrom wishlist, so when they do (hopefully) come back in stock, you get a notification (and some items have been restocking in totally brand new gorgeous colors, which is worth the notification)!

The second thing you can do? Don’t look past the items that are still in great stock — there are some serious hidden gems.

This V-Neck Is A True Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Hidden Gem (+ Under $50)

One of my most favorite pieces I scooped up has been this oatmeal colored Rib Stitch Crop Sweater from Open Edit. You may have seen it make an appearance over on my first Nordstrom Sale post with all the amazing fall wardrobe items I tried on.

The Open Edit V-neck sweater is the softest 1 I tried in the #NSale. It has a wonderful crop that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. Under $45 & available in 4 colors.

The Open Edit crop sweater is the softest one I tried from the #NSale (right behind this sweater that is like wearing a cloud) and is a wonderfully cropped length that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. It hits under $45 during the sale and is available in four colors (the red would be jaw-dropping for the holiday season….just sayin’). The sweater is light, yet surprisingly warm. It will be perfect once the temps drop, but I’m finding myself throwing it on for cool summer morning coffee runs, too.

1. Open Edit Sweater + Jeans & Summer Sandals

The Open Edit V-neck sweater is the softest 1 I tried in the #NSale. It has a wonderful crop that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. Under $45 & available in 4 colors.

The sweater I’m wearing with these straight leg jeans from Re/Done has been my favorite look. There are a few sizes of the jeans on sale here and here, or you can scoop them up without the knee rip right here (even this indigo shade is on sale). If you were hoping to try the stovepipe jeans from Re/Done that were in the #NSale only for a flash (I was able to grab them and they are nearly identical to the fit of this straight leg, only slightly tighter above the knee like a true stovepipe style.) I just spotted the black pair over on Shopbop!

Throw on your favorite pair of sandals, and this look is ready for a breezy summer day.

2. Open Edit Sweater + Cut-off Shorts

The Open Edit V-neck sweater is the softest 1 I tried in the #NSale. It has a wonderful crop that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. Under $45 & available in 4 colors.

You stay warm in this sweater, but that makes it easy to balance out with cut-offs while the summer season is still here. Though it’s warm, it’s actually very light and not at all bulky, which is another bonus for wearing it during summer! I’m often found in a pair of bike shorts (a preview of what’s below) but this black denim short has been so fantastic to wear with just about any top this season.

3. Open Edit Sweater + Bike Shorts & Sneakers

The Open Edit V-neck sweater is the softest 1 I tried in the #NSale. It has a wonderful crop that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. Under $45 & available in 4 colors.

This is probably the most accurate depiction of how I will be rocking my sweater the most – thrown over my morning workout outfit to grab coffee. I love the cropped sweater with high-rise bike shorts (paired with socks + tennis shoes, and I’m obsessing over the throwback vibes). Comfortable doesn’t even begin to describe this!

4. Open Edit Sweater + Loose Jeans

The Open Edit V-neck sweater is the softest 1 I tried in the #NSale. It has a wonderful crop that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. Under $45 & available in 4 colors.

Another way to rock the Open Edit Crop Sweater as the summer days get cooler is to pair with loose denim and comfy hiking-inspired sandals (these fuzzy ones make for a good transitional pair and are currently on sale). It’s casual, perfect for a day off, and I like that the sweater is still long enough on my long torso to tuck in slightly to my high-rise jeans; it helps to create a little dimension among all the loose pieces.

5. Open Edit Sweater + Jeans & Suede Boots

The Open Edit V-neck sweater is the softest 1 I tried in the #NSale. It has a wonderful crop that works well with all my high-rise bottoms. Under $45 & available in 4 colors.

The outfit I’m excited to wear to the apple orchard this fall is right here! I’m in love with how the sweater looks paired with my suede Marc Fisher’s also included in the sale (the purse, too!). I’m happy to soak up summer (we still have more than half of the season left — shocking, right?) but once those leaves begin to change, you’ll be catching me in this ‘fit for days on end!

Fit Notes: I found the sweater to be TTS! I’m wearing a medium, am 5’9″ and have a slightly “longer than average” torso length. The sleeves fit lovely — not too short and not too long, but the fabric is so soft and stretchy you can easily cuddle up in it. This sweater is glorious, friends — like really, really glorious!
