I’m seriously impressed with Gap lately. (The faux-leather pants?? SO good.) I mean, I’ve always loved shopping there for the whole family, and I count on Gap to get myself those elevated basics its known for making so well. But more recently…Gap has added some pieces that are just so fun.
And since I was looking for holiday outfits for the kids on Gap’s website the other day, I thought, “Might as welllll…just take a peek for myself…” and OMG, YES, these satin pants! How gorgeous is this Green Pine color??

Holiday Party Outfits For The Whole Fam, Ft. Satin Perfection *Adds To Cart*
And just like that, I had more things in my cart for myself than I did for the kids. Happy Holidays to me? 🤗

Cute & Comfortable Holiday Attire: Head-To-Toe Satin From Gap

Just like those faux-leather pants I love, I had to try these green high-waisted satin trousers the second I saw them at Gap. They also come in black and cashmere brown (both of which have a beautiful texture that would work really well for holiday party outfits), but it was the green that struck me — especially when paired with the matching satin boyfriend shirt.
The whole look feels posh but is also incredibly comfortable, which is the combination I’m basically always looking for, especially during the holidays.

Because I loved this monochrome outfit so freaking much, I ordered the satin pants in four different sizes (and the shirt in three) to make sure I got the fit right.
Both the pants and shirt come in regular, tall and petite sizing, so there’s lots of room to find that perfect fit. Ultimately, I would say both pieces run slightly big.
I’m typically a size 6/28 and ended up going with a 4 petite in Gap’s satin pants, mostly due to the length of the inseam (I’m 5’4″ and didn’t want the satin to drag on the ground). I usually go down one size with a higher rise, and that was the case with these — the rise was still long enough that the petite sizing worked.
There’s no stretch in the fabric, but it’s heavy enough that I wasn’t worried about dimples showing through, and the pleats are actually forgiving around the belly. (Plus, have I mentioned that these pants are SO soft and comfortable??)

I’m wearing a petite in the green satin shirt as well, mostly due to the length in the body. I want to be able to tie up the hemline or tuck it in to highlight my waist without having a bunch of excess fabric to work with. (Check out the satin blouse on the model to see it styled untucked.) I was happy to find that the sleeves were still long enough for the petite to work nicely in this case.

I have to say that I’m also really impressed with Gap’s jewelry section lately!! This herringbone necklace paired with the chunky chain-link necklace adds the perfect amount of sparkle to set off the whole outfit while still keeping things simple. (Um…and Gap’s earrings definitely deserve a look. I mean, how cute are these??)
Our Favorite Kids’ Holiday Outfits From Gap
But, like I said, it was actually the kids who I was originally trying to find holiday looks for…and, fortunately, Gap is a pretty easy one-stop place for all of us.

The hard part isn’t getting them dressed, it’s having them get along…

I mean, you can never go wrong with a sequin dress, right??

And if you do have a holiday party with the kids coming up, I highly recommend having a game on hand to distract them…
…and at the very least, a comfy chair for them to lounge in. (Super-comfy, cozy shoes don’t hurt either.)
Hang in there, guys!

Happy Holidays!
XOXO,
Scotti

A huge thank you to Gap for sponsoring this post! Gap is my go-to place for the family, and I loved finding our holiday looks! As always, all product choices and opinions are my own! Janine, thank you so much for the pictures — AND for helping with this entire shoot when the kids decided to have meltdowns. You rock. And, readers, thank YOU so much for your continued support. It’s so very much appreciated!
Hey, Pinners…

Is it just me, or do the pants and shirt not look to be the same color….??
