Faux-fur coats have morphed over the years from a major statement piece (that only a brave few dared rock) to…a classic wardrobe staple. They elevate any outfit, but are surprisingly super-wearable (and seriously warm).
We’ve seen everything from old, floor-length Hollywood glam fur coats to short, sporty hoodies — anything goes! There are a ton of styles for every preference, and most are fab enough (and warm enough) to wear for a night out.
10 Fabulous Faux Fur Coats To Upgrade Any Winter Outfit
So. I scoured allll of the sites for the very best faux fur coats still in-stock (because yes, they sell out like crazy…take it from someone who didn’t take the plunge and still regrets it) and narrowed it down to these 10 gorgeous ones.
To be honest, I’m drooling over the entire line of Apparis faux-fur coats at the moment, so maybe one of theirs will just have to be my replacement. And — while faux furs tend to be on the pricier side, I did try to find beautiful options at a few different price points. (Nordstrom Rack, FYI, is a great place to keep checking; they tend to get more in stock almost daily.)
The wine color on this Halogen faux fur is SO GOOD. I can’t get over it. The bomber style is something I gravitate towards for a more relaxed look, so a bomber with a hood makes this one ideal for day or night.
This BB Dakota by Steve Madden coat looks almost like a fuzzy cardigan, and we like fuzzy cardigans. I just wanna be wrapped up in this All. Winter. Long.
This is cropped jacket one of my favorites of the bunch. Thanks to the crop and caramel brown color, it’s super-wearable for day, especially with loose, high-rise jeans.
The most color you’ll find in my wardrobe. LOL. But seriously, if the colors seem like too much for your neutral-lovin’ self, try out a subtle olive hue like this. It’s the best way to transition a new statement to your neutral wardrobe.
This Apparis faux fur is pushing the Hollywood glam boundaries in the best possible way. Obviously it’ll work for fancier occasions, but I can see myself wearing this layered over an all-black hoodie and leggings combo with some high-top sneaks and a beanie. It’s a windy-city, foolproof outfit.
Leopard is essentially a neutral at this point, and it’s perfect for making basic outfits a little more interesting. Because of the zip-up hoodie shape, this jacket reads a little more casual than the average leopard print coat.
I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been loving on this shade of blue (oh wait — Laura is, too). And she makes a pretty darn good case for wearing these teal(ish) tones with browns, ivory and denim. I’m obsessed.
Moto jackets will always hold a special place in my heart. *Tear* Finding one that’s also faux fur in the deepest black-brown shade just really changed everything for me. Even with the dark color, it doesn’t seem too fancy to wear during the day for…brunch with the gals, perhaps? Pair it with a graphic tee, some flares and booties to make it even more daytime appropriate.
There’s something so effortlessly chic about this. Maybe it’s the monochromatic styling (shoutout to Bloomies for that) or the relaxed fit. The shorter fur length also helps. I can see this being one I’d grab to run out the door no matter the occasion.
Probably the most casual faux fur of the bunch with the oversized pockets and zip-up. Personally, I’d layer with a turtleneck or hoodie for max coziness. And I love the pockets (mostly for practical reasons.) Give us more pockets, people!
Here’s to cozy…and glam.
