When I first wore my Moon Boots out in the freezing cold snow last year, I was absolutely blown away by how warm they were.
Moon Boots: The Warmest Winter Boots This Midwesterner Has Ever Worn
Living in Marquette, I have tried SO many pairs of winter boots…but these? These are hands-down the warmest boots I have ever worn. (And after 40 years of living in the midwest, that’s saying something, friends.)
I recently tried a black vinyl pair from Zappos, and I am in LOVE. They have a TON of cute styles and colors to choose from —metallic, faux-fur and even shorter styles. (I’ve rounded up my favs down below!)

It turns out that Moon Boots are incredibly warm and comfortable because of the foam insulation — it feels like putting your foot in a cloud whenever you put them on. And at just over 1lb each, they’re relatively lightweight, especially compared to other winter boots with big rubber soles (lots of them are over 2 lbs).

These boots are also perfect for wearing in the snow. The shaft height keeps snow from getting in and the ties at the top can be cinched together for a tighter fit that keeps all of the snow out. This particular pair is water-resistant, but I’ve never felt a drop of moisture when wearing them in deep snow. One reviewer says she even walked in 2-3 inch puddles in the rain with zero problems. (But if you’re dead-set on getting a waterproof pair, Zappos carries a number of Moon Boot styles that are!)

The Cute + Warm Outfit I’m Wearing With My Moon Boots
Now, for the rest of the outfit. If you’re a long-time reader, you probably know how much I love my Spanx faux leather leggings. They’re not exactly what I’d call “warm,” per se, but when my feet are warm, everything feels so much warmer. I can get away with wearing less when I’ve got my Moon Boots on…but the Spanx leggings also fit underneath snow and ski pants, which make them perfect for wearing to and from the ski hill or sledding.

Can we also talk about this ridiculously cozy faux fur jacket?! The color is what I first fell in love with, but it’s so comfy and warm, and I love the fit. The waistband is super stretchy, not tight, so it can be worn zipped up without digging in or riding up. The stand-up collar is soft and keeps everything extra toasty when zipped up all the way. It’s a great layering piece for when it gets really cold out, too — I love the pop of color under my big black puffer.

These UGG tech gloves work perfectly with my phone. I love not having to take them off in order to use it. They’re made with wool and leather so they’re warm, too. They do run a bit small; I tried the medium and they felt a little snug at first, but they did stretch out a bit with wear. I liked the metallic finish of the gunmetal color, but they also come in black or brown!
I’ve long been a fan of everything Roxy, and this winter beanie is my new favorite. It’s super-soft and lined with polar fleece to keep the chill of the wind out — and I love the big pom on top!
