A pregnant woman KNOWS comfort (or lack there of), you know what I mean? Which is why I’m not kidding when I say that Allbirds shoes are a pregnant woman’s best friend in shoe form. Not to mention I owned a pair long before getting pregnant, and they were one of my most-worn shoes then, too. Whether you’re pregnant, you want to gift something sweet to someone who is, or you’re just smart and want really good shoes, these comfortable (and sustainable!) Allbirds sneakers should be at the top of your list.

Allbirds Wool Runners – Sporty & Comfortable

Imagine walking on a cloud. Okay that’s kind of hard to imagine. Imagine walking on marshmallow fluff. A thick silk rug. A pile of cashmere sweaters. Kitten fur. This is getting really weird. But I want to imprint on you that these sneakers are the real deal. Allbirds are supportive, temperature regulating (thanks to the magic of merino wool), and don’t even require socks. The best part, they have a 30-day money back guarantee (no questions asked) if you — for some wild reason — don’t love them.

Shirt: This oversized button up shirt has been a staple during my pregnancy. It was light enough to throw on during summer, and is still great for layering in the fall months. I’m not naturally someone who wears form-fitting clothing, but while pregnant it’s been easier to just throw on leggings and a fitted top for belly support, and then something loose and oversized so I still feel comfortable. This top is from AE and comes in a few colors!

Leggings: Best little secret for maternity? Lululemon Align leggings work for pretty much your entire pregnancy. They aren’t maternity, of course, so you can wear them from the start. They are so stretchy and comfortable that they’ve grown with me nearly my entire nine months, and I’ll still be wearing them far beyond pregnancy, too. I have the align pants in multiple colors, and you can even get this awesome stirrup version perfect for maternity yoga & stretching.

Tank: I’m wearing an older Lululemon workout tank, but here’s the same style in a beige tone. This one in black looks amazing, and is made in their super-soft Nulu material. Lululemon form fitting tanks work perfectly for hugging the bump.

Shoes: Allbirds Wool Runners in natural white, I’ve worn them so much, guys. SO. MUCH.

Allbirds Wool Pipers – Just A Bit Edgy

I have owned a pair of these Wool Runners for a few years. They’re my go-to shoe for travel and long airport days, and especially now as that cute 3rd trimester waddle has made it’s appearance. When the shoes start looking a little, uh, less white — I just THROW THEM IN THE WASH! Gentle cycle, let them air dry, and boom, good as new. I recently purchased a pair of the Wool Pipers in black to add to the family, and I’m loving them just the same.

Sweatshirt: This Anine Bing sweatshirt has made it’s appearance on this blog more than once, and for good reason. It’s just so stupid comfortable. It’s a little bit of a splurge for a crewneck sweatshirt but it’s a 100% worth it in my opinion — I’ve reached for this sweatshirt the most while pregnant among the MULTITUDES of others in my closet.

Maternity Jeans: When I discovered one of my all time fave jeans made maternity options, an actual happy dance was made. I ordered my non-pregnancy size in this distressed black pair and they fit great.

Shoes: The Allbirds Wool Pipers in natural black with a black sole. All of their color options seem so good, it was really hard to choose.

And if it wasn’t already sounding too good to be true, the founders of Allbirds ongoing mantra is to create better things in a better way. They choose to bypass cheap synthetic materials in order to create a quality, sustainable shoe that makes people AND the earth happier. I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of goodness I need in my life right now.

Cheers!
Amy

PS: If you’re considering gifting a pair of Allbirds for the holidays, they’ve extended their return date through January 15. Also, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Allbirds provided $500,000 of shoes to healthcare workers as a donation, and then proceeded to allow customers to purchase shoes for healthcare workers at a reduced price — or a buy-one-give-one option. Their goodness continues with other partnerships as well.
