Four Fresh Ways To Keep Rocking Your Jeans, Tee & Sneakers

It’s all I want to wear this time of year and into early fall: jeans + tees + sneakers. It’s far from a new combo, but sometimes you need inspiration for your favorite outfit to update it a bit. These are currently my four favorite pairings, although let’s be honest, I could go on and on for days because this is my jam.

What I love about this easy combo is that it works for a fair variety of temperatures, and for all the momming needs, and while it’s comfy, it can still look really cool and pulled together if you get great pieces. I swear these are the three things I’m always honing in on when I peruse the stores, and it’s the three things I’m especially picky about, but also love trying on, especially the shoes. I don’t have to justify this to you…you know I live in this world, so let’s get to it!

White Tee + Fav Blue Jeans + Colorful Sneaker

This is a classic combo and a good one. Get a perfectly fitting white tee (my fav) and your favorite blue jeans…but the unexpected part or what makes it feel more interesting are the colorful sneakers. Sure you could go with black or white sneakers, but adding a pop of color here really makes this simple combo shine.

White Graphic Tee + Wide-Leg Jeans + Comfy White Sneakers

I can’t tell you how often I grab for a good pair of wide-leg jeans now. Not only is the look modern and on trend, they’re cooler in the warmer temps right now. Breezy even. Pair them with a favorite white graphic tee or really any graphic tee and comfy dad sneaks. I know, I know, but we’ve kinda gotten on the dad sneaks train haven’t we? I have. And these Pumas are insanely cushiony awesome. You may want to check out how I also styled them here.

Light Color Tee + Light-Wash Jeans + Patterned Sneaks

You’ll notice I don’t wear quite as many lighter wash jeans as I do black jeans. It’s because I’m so picky about the wash, but Levi’s usually pull through for me. And I find I like pairing a lighter tee with my lighter wash jeans best. It just flows well. But then I always want a little pop of something in my outfit, so throwing on my checkered Vans just finishes this off with fun. You don’t have to go black and white check here, though. I think a lighter animal print, a stripe, or any semi-neutral pattern would look great!

Black Graphic Tee + Black Skinny Jeans + Statement Sneaks

So, this is probably my most go-to (great grammar) outfit, but you know what I mean. I love, love a good black graphic tee, and of course I’ve already gone on for hours on this blog about my love of black jeans, but, you guessed it, we also need that interesting element to make this sing…and of course for me it’s animal print. You could go really any direction with the statement sneakers here, though, and it would probably work. I love those fun sneakers Scotti wears, and they come in a bunch of great color and pattern combos. Think color, bling or animal print and you have statement sneaks.

  1. I’m a big fan of this combo too. I’d love to see a post exclusively with sneakers with a non- white edge because the white just gets abused from drink/food drippings with little guy/life, grass stains from walking in the grass, etc.

  2. Thank you for pulling from your current inventory – since I unabashedly copy your style, that means I don’t have to make any new purchases today! I scored those Nikes at the #NSale and can’t wait to wear them (should it ever cool off here in NC)!

  3. Just an FYI…I’ve heard (from my sneaker addicted son) that micellar water works to get white soles on sneakers clean!
