Happy Friday!
I hope you’re enjoying these last few weeks of summer. (I am sooo in denial that it’s coming to a close. Sigh.) I am easily excited by cozy sweaters, though. So don’t worry about me too too much.
J. Crew, Athleta, Some #NSale & More Fun Style Finds
We’re slowly but surely getting back to our regular coverage with some NSale mixed-in, but if you’re one of our Nordstrom lovers, don’t you worry. We’ll have a Best Of What’s Left Post coming out later next week and some of the contribs still have a few tricks up their sleeves and in-stock pieces to share.
Otherwise, our Sales Report is more alive than ever. Laura just noticed that her very favorite Athleta Cosmic pants are on sale!! And is it just me, or are they VERY Nike Palazzo Pants-esque? Could be a good alternative for those of you who wanted those in black, but couldn’t snag them in time.
Another sneaky good one is the Sephora sale!! They’re offering $15 off $75 and $20 off $100. Never a bad time to replenish your makeup bag. Scotti has me absolutely hooked on the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (I mix it with this foundation thanks to her recommendation and LOVE the way it looks.)
Keep scrolling for more sales…and have a wonderful weekend!

Laura’ Sale Picks
Hey, Friday. We woke up to a double rainbow over here after a bit of rain last night. I managed a quick epic portrait of my doggo Camper before it faded, haha. You may want to check that out over on my Instagram real quickly after perusing the sales. It feels fresh and amazing here this morning, and I’m doing all I can to send that rain your way, California. Much love to y’all close to the fires. Be safe out there. I’m headed last-minute camping this weekend with a couple of friends to the forest, and gosh that’s my happy place. Someday I will live in a cabin in the woods on the mountain by a stream. Yup.
But, for now, we’ll take a gander at the sales this weekend. Some really exciting favorites of mine from Athleta are on sale! Those only pants you needed for summer? Well, they’ll take you right into fall, too. I’ll be styling them up with both sneakers and slippers, obviously, but they would TOTALLY work for comfy work pants for teachers or anyone in an office setting. They run true to size, and offer tall and petite lengths, too. The other pieces I’m loving are these Sorel sandals with the big buckle, these Levi’s 501 crops at Bloomingdale’s (go up a size or two depending on how you want them to fit), and this The North Face pullover that’s cozy but light enough for layering. Bring on the fall weather, I say. Have a good weekend, y’all.

Hey hey, friends. Dang, it’s been a week over here, kicking off with unprecedented lightning storms, our first week of Zoom school, and now a string of wildfires engulfing Northern California and, for the first time in recent history, displacing folks in our very own Coastside community. (We’re safe in Half Moon Bay, but if you happen to be in the Bay Area, please refrain from visiting the beaches this weekend so our limited roadways can remain free for first responders and evacuees.) So…if you could join Laura in sending some rain vibes this way, California would be so grateful!
On the sales front, the NSale is still going strong, and there are still a decent amount of products in stock if you do a little hunting. (My fave approach is to sort the sale by size so I don’t get bamboozled into falling for something that’s mostly unavailable.) All the shoes mentioned in my recent post are still fully-stocked (!!), and somehow this camo sweater bomber, which I had on my wish list but missed adding to my bag, is still fully stocked, too. It’d be so easy to style for fall. Also at Nordstrom is this two-tone Rebecca Minkoff timepiece that would be perfect for everyday wear — and 50% off makes it $75. And Abercrombie has 25% off sale, so I’m contemplating stocking up on this gorgeous bralette that has major Free People Adella vibes, but with a square neck. So many gorgeous colors. Of final note (who says things like that?), J.Crew added a few new things to their sale section and are offering additional 72% off with code 3DAYS. It supposedly ends tonight (I have a feeling it’ll be extended or modified over the weekend), but I’m taking a real hard look at these jeans, which seem like an easy and obvious buy at under $30. Happy weekend, folks.

Greenlea just had her first virtual voice lesson and LOVED it (thank you, Heidi!). I’m so glad, because this year is (obviously) going to look a lot different for her. She’s normally so into her musicals (there’s a pretty amazing youth theater group here in Marquette that puts on some seriously impressive shows) and loves her art and music classes in school. Since we’re going 100% online I don’t want her to miss out on those opportunities—so in addition to voice lessons, her Nana’s going to give her piano lessons and our friend is going to start Spanish lessons with her. We’re trying to think outside the box–and welcome any suggestions if you guys have any. This is not the way we envisioned first grade, but here’s to making the best of it!
As far as sales go…have you guys heard about Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale? Ha. Ha ha. Of course we’re covering it EXTENSIVELY, but right now is about the time I start looking at the beauty and home sections (because I’ve now spent approximately 5,321 hours trying on clothes). Some of you guys were asking about my hair in my recent post and his ghd styler is the one I use both to straighten and create waves. I also just received this Briogeo All-Star Heroes Kit after Kat recommended it and can confirm it’s pretty awesome…it comes with a hair mask, leave-in conditioning spray and an exfoliating scalp scrub for a special price. I also can’t believe that this Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Set hasn’t sold out yet–Shana and I both love this neutral pink color (and I use the liner with and without the lipstick and gloss–sometimes with just Blistex over it). Finally, this tea set would make a great gift, and Lord knows I don’t need another throw but I can’t ignore the great reviews on this one… and I love the colors! Ahhh decisions, decisions. Happy weekend, you guys!

Happy Friday, y’all! I can’t believe another week has flown by. My schedule has had me running a thousand miles a minute and TBH, I had a serious bout of anxiety and shut down at the beginning of the week. But I am back in action now, and woke up feeling like my normal chipper self today. Going back to work has me stressed out, and my entire wardrobe has to change to accommodate outdoor meetings and activities. Not only are we concerned about our kiddos getting sick, it’s also bear season, so let’s just say things are going to be very very interesting this year.
Okay, onto the sales! It feels like J.Crew is basically giving away their clothes right now, and their sales are insane. This dress is limited in sizing, but its under $10!!! They have so many great things I am considering that are perfect for teachers and anyone returning back to work. I also found these super-cute VINCE platforms on sale for under $40! I don’t think I have ever seen VINCE shoes for under $40 before, and I really want to snag a pair. Last but not least, Backcountry has an amazing sale going on, too, and I just found this Marmot jacket that goes up to a 3X!!! I didn’t even know Marmot sells plus size, and now I might get one of their jackets for only $55 with the sale they are running! There are some seriously stellar sales right now, and I would be remiss not to mention that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on. I recently got my shipment of beauty products in and am loving the Arcona Toner, which will be my new go-to for toners! I hope you are all well and safe and am looking forward to sharing some more #NSale finds with you all soon! XX – Kat

Happy weekend! We’ve been all DNC-watching and school town hall – listening this week and trying to prep for virtual school…so. That’s how my week went. Now I’m hoping to squeeze in some last bit of summer fun before school starts in September.
Oh, and before I forget: Colleen Rothschild is offering 25% off best sellers. So I’m stocking up on both the cleansing balm and retinol eye serum – two products I’ve been using and LOVING for years.
Xo,
Team TME
Thanks for the CA love! I’m currently evacuated from my home up above Napa–we’re now in SoCal with my in-laws, and the whole drive down was smoky and apocalyptic. We already know of friends who have lost houses. So scary, so sad, and totally makes the “normal,” everyday world feel impossibly far away.
Oh Sara — stay safe! So sorry to hear you’ve already had friends that were affected. So thankful that they’re sending more troops in to all the fires — hopefully they’ll be dispersed to your area, too!
Thinking of you, Em, and glad you’re safe. Sending all the rainy, foggy vibes from the East Bay in every direction around the Bay (horrified to hear that more lightning is expected this weekend!).
Thank you!! Taking all the good vibes we can get!
Lots of love to the Coastside from the other side of the hill. HMB is only about 15-20 min away, and we were up in Napa/Sonoma less than 10 days ago. Love up 101 too — and thank you to the firefighters from a ton of states coming to help out. Hugs.
Thank you, Kari! California needs all the help we can get, ‘eh? Especially with lighting in the forecast again tonight. (PS – we used to be 20 mins over the hill – where are you guys?)
