Well, here we are, friends. I’m over here with these cute new pieces for spring and we’re just gonna make the best of it. I fully believe, as someone who works from home in general, that getting dressed each day (or at least most days) is good for the soul. “Dress for your muse,” my friend Chris said the other day. I LOVE that.
Cute Business Casual & Work From Home Outfits
In crazy, uncertain times, we can take some opportunities to feel good about the small stuff. For me, that’s putting together fun outfits. So, in the spirit of keeping things semi-normal around here for those of us who need it (me), Gap is having a Friends and Family Event where you can save 40% off with code GAPFRIEND! Plus, get an extra 10% off everything with code ALLYOU, which stacks with the 40% off everything! Here are two business casual outfit ideas to wear now (hi, video conference calls) and again, later this summer.
Outfit Idea 1: T-Shirt & Jeans + A Pretty Linen Blazer
I adore this look. Bold graphic stripes, lightweight fabrics (which you can easily wear now, because INSIDE!) and comfy pieces. This striped blazer will be great for any upcoming work conference calls since it pulls the outfit in a more polished direction. And these jeans are just comfy, friends. You know I’m picky about my washes and these are a fabulous faded denim, a not-too-high waist (they’re called “low slung”) and just all-around easy to wear. I’d normally put them in my “weekend jeans” category, but right now they’re gonna be everyday jeans! I went up a size in the jeans to have that relaxed weekend-jean feel, but I find they fit pretty true-to-size. The blazer is cut a bit long, which is definitely on-trend, but they do offer it in petite and tall sizes, which is awesome.

Outfit Idea 2: T-Shirt & Jeans + A Detailed Denim Jacket
This jacket has adorable details and throwing it on is an instant outfit upgrade. The subtle puffed-sleeve just takes it up a notch from your regular denim jacket and the patch pockets are totally on-trend. I’m wearing the same tee as above, but in a pretty rust color. I love it paired with the ivory pants. These pants are great by the way — comfy enough to keep on all day. They feel like a fresh update for spring AND since I’m staying in until further notice, I don’t have to worry about them getting dirty. #thelittlethings

Here’s to continuing to do what we can right now for a sense of normal — finding inspiration in the small things and supporting each other, amirght? We had our TME team meeting today and virtual check-ins with my besties are what’s getting me through this craziness. It’s so wonderful to live in a time where we have this option to ‘hang out’ even if we’re in our own homes. Stay tuned for more Instagram dance parties, more work-from-home outfit ideas and just much general support from your TME friends.
