I have long been a proponent of faux leather leggings. I wore them throughout my pregnancy, during the dreaded postpartum phase and are currently a staple of my wardrobe. If you find the right pair, they’re super comfortable without being constricting, more polished than regular cotton leggings, and very flattering, which makes them better for styling a postpartum body. Paired with a pooch-friendly top, cozy long cardigan and statement shoes, they’re the perfect choice for the holidays.
Wearing:
Lush Cross Front Tee (available in long sleeve) I’m all about the drape of this shirt . . . I love t-shirts but so many fit me in a way that accentuates a post-baby belly. This one doesn’t and it’s not nearly as low-cut as it looks on the model!
Scuba Leggings: Super comfortable from Express. I own these Spanx leggings as well . . . they’re super comfortable and hold you in without being too constricting. I bought the Lysee faux leather leggings during the Anniversary Sale and LOVE them . . . they’re more pant-like so I don’t feel as self-conscious wearing them without my butt being completey covered.
Open Front Cardigan (similar in brown, green or gray and I like this one with buttons) I wear these all the time over leggings, skinny jeans and mini dresses in the winter.
Bella Vita Pointy Toe Pump (the heel is comfortable and it comes in a number of different colors and widths . . . right now the red and black are on sale!)

You can get away with a more casual top if you have on faux leather leggings and hot shoes. My shoes are a low heel, still probably not the best for baby wearing but I’ve rounded up some options below that are.
XOXO,

I’ve been eyeing those shoes for a while. I love them!
You look gorgeous! It’s not my normal style, but seeing this outfit I think i’d give these leggings a try.
Have you washed the Lush T yet, and if so, how did it fair? Nordstrom’s site says “dry clean only” but given that it has lycra in it, the rayon may wash fine.
