We’ve all been eyeing Athleta’s Brooklyn Joggers recently (that green is gorgeous and the texture is seriously cool), so I decided to play around with some outfit ideas. Now…I know we can’t leisurely leave the house, but taking comfy joggers next level for our one weekly grocery store run or for a walk around the block feels pretty good these days. And I think they’ll even work for a Zoom meeting.

Casual Cool In Athleta’s Olive Green Joggers: 6 Outfit Ideas

I created six real outfits – ones that can be worn out in the world. And by “real” I mean with shoes. If you don’t have a purpose for shoes… pop on the house slippers. I’ve been eyeing these forever.

Side Note: I just realized my family has a tendency to wear real shoes around the house…even if we’re just sitting around. Are we the only ones?

1. Keepin’ It Simple: Olive Green Joggers + Graphic Tee

I always want to start off band tee outfits with an apology b/c I have a habit of always including them. But the obsession is real. In this case, any graphic tee would work. I’ve been eyeing some non-band-graphic-tees from this Etsy shop. Love. And if ya wanna feel a little more put together, pair the joggers with a sweater blazer with some cool tie-dye slides. A perfect way to subtly try out the tie-dye trend.

2. A Dream Team: Olive Green Joggers + White & Gold

When in doubt…olive, white and gold ALWAYS look good. It’s just clean and crisp and…good. And even though you are literally wearing a comfy sweatshirt and joggers…the colors (and of course — gold jewelry) elevate it. I included a big tote for running errands, too! Finish with a pair of chic black sunnies.

3. Olive Green Joggers + Shades of Grey + Fun Accessories

There are two things to pay attention to: One, the details in the basic pieces are interesting. For instance, this white tee has a lettuce trim — which might not seem like a big deal — but for those of us with a super-plain wardrobe, little details like this elevate it. And the sweater isn’t just a plain knit cardigan…it has a fuzzy texture (and is perfect for cozying up.) Two, since I’m such a neutrals girl, I spiced up the outfit with some mixed-print accessories: a floral hair tie, colorful earrings, a fun bag and snake print mules. It’s a lot but…it’s not?

4. Olive Joggers + All-Black-Chic

Me? Doing an (almost) all-black outfit? No way. But I mean.. after alllll the black outfits I’ve worn or wrote about, I try to keep each a little different. I’ve definitely given it a strong effort. Case in point? I found this long cardigan. And we fell in love. I think wearing these long cardigans as shirts look SO good but…let’s be real. Not all of us (me included) can rock that without the fear of too much skin popping out to say hi. So, I paired it with a tight fitting tank top. This way, there’s still plenty of drama with the cardigan, but no fear of skin. Add some interest with a silk scarf (which I personally would tie into my pony) and chic black slides.

5. Olive Joggers Go Audrey Hepburn-Classic

HEAR ME OUT. I know the last thing we’re thinking about is wearing a sun hat to sit inside. But, if you haven’t yet taken a walk around your neighborhood (masked up, of course) who says we can’t do it in style?! Wear the hat, get some sun and feel good. (Even if it’s your own backyard.) Now granted, you can totally wear the long sleeve or cami separately, but I think layering really takes it next level. Add gold hoops, simple shoes and a straw bag to keep the attention on the layers and sun hat. Sun hats make me feel allll the dramatics — this one in particular gives me Audrey Hepburn vibes: classic and chic.

6. Olive Green Joggers + Animal Print

Popping on the Zoom meeting w/ a zebra print sweater is a power. move. I cannot for the life of me tell if it’s black and cream or a dark green and cream…comment below and tell me…please. Either way it works with the olive green pants. Since this is a more professional at-home vibe, I added a serious gold watch and statement earrings. If you have time to put on a hydrating coral lippie…bonus points. Shoes — obviously optional. But if you go for the shoes, those gold sneaks are awesome.
