This year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been especially good to me! In fact, I think this is the best #NSale that I’ve ever experienced. The plus-size options are fantastic, and I found so many amazing, cozy clothes that will last me for seasons to come. Based on our entire team’s stellar coverage of the sale so far, I’d say there’s definitely something for everyone.
One of my favorite finds this year — by far — has to be the Nike Palazzo pants. And lucky for us, the gray is still stocked! I’m also loving all of the weatherproof boots this season, which are going to be great for the unpredictable Colorado weather.
These days, I’ve been pairing my favorite athleisure and loungewear with more non-traditional pieces. Like this gorgeous plaid blazer that I paired over a Zella twist-front tee with my all-time favorite Vince Camuto leggings.
The standout shoes in the sale for me are the Vince Chelsea boots, which are the perfect height, have a great lug sole for traction, and will keep me looking cute and feeling comfortable all day long! They are so worth the investment!
Outfit 1: The Best Leggings Ever + A Plaid Blazer
Every. Single. Time. the Vince Camuto leggings are on sale, I get a little giddy. Not just for me, but for all of you who have yet to experience the wonder that is these leggings! They are my absolute favorite leggings because they’re a bit more elevated than your typical. I wear these to work more often than not, and absolutely love their stretch paired with their hold. They are just so good, and I promise you need a pair! This year they are offered in several colors and I want them ALL! Try pairing them with a gorgeous plaid blazer (this one is the perfect boyfriend style blazer), Vince Chelsea boots from the sale, and this stellar Sweaty Betty bag that is perfect for those on-the-go days.
blazer: Treasure & Bond Plaid Blazer – This blazer has great stretch and a really nice micro plaid pattern. I sized up for a more oversized boyfriend look — it’s a classic and timeless piece!
top: Zella Peaceful Twist T-Shirt – This twisted hem t-shirt is such a fun take on the traditional workout top and personally it works great for my body type! It hugs right at the smallest part of my waist and is perfect for anyone who is a yoga-goer.
leggings: Vince Camuto High Rise Leggings – You all know how I feel about my Vince Camuto leggings, they’ve officially made it to BFF status! These leggings have a thicker knit, which is great for cooler temperatures and for holding everything in. They have the perfect amount of stretch and the wide elastic waist top ensures a no-slip legging!
bag: Sweaty Betty All Sport Backpack – The thing that attracted me to this Sweaty Betty backpack was the rose gold detailing and the feel of the fabric. The backpack is made out of scuba-style fabric and seems waterproof. The icing on the cake for this bag, though, are the straps on the bottom of the bag where you can attach your yoga mat! If this version is sold out by the time you are reading this, then check out this Sweaty Betty Quilted Luxe Gym Bag.
boots: Vince Henderson Weatherproof Chelsea Boot – I have tried on many many different Chelsea boots over the years, and TBH, these are the best I have found. I love the lug boot sole that has great traction, and they are so comfortable that I actually feel like I could wear them all day. I bought mine in this gorgeous forest green ‘Militaire,’ but they come in several other colors too!
Outfit 2: Patterned Leggings + Hiking Boots
I love a good outfit that you can hike in, and these patterned leggings and hiking boots make for the perfect outdoor adventure look. These Zella leggings are so comfortable. And what I love about these hiking boots is that they’re both fashionable and wearable for a good hike!
sweater: Free People Afterglow Mock Neck Top – I love an oversized sweater moment, and this one mock neck FP sweater reminds me of one I bought last year and wore all the time. It has a long tunic length and is so cozy! Since what I am wearing has limited sizing, this Chelsea 28 Cowl Neck Sweater is a great alternative and under $50!
leggings: Zella Studio Lite Print High Waist 7/8 Leggings – (wearing 2x for reference) These high-waist leggings have great stretch, are such a fun pattern, and are versatile to wear. They look great with a jean jacket, too!
boots: Blondo Helen Waterproof Hiker Boot – Comfy, waterproof and so cute. Can you ask more of a hiking boot?! I love that these hiking boots are both fashionable for day-to-day wear and also great for hitting the trails.
Outfit 3: Nike Palazzo Pants + A Cozy Cardigan
This is the type of outfit that I’ll wear every day to work this year! Now that I’m back in the office, we’ve transitioned to spending more time outside. Outfits that are both comfortable and have layers are an absolute must for me!
cardigan: Treasure & Bond Cotton Blend Cardigan – I’m not usually one who likes cardigans, but I love this oversized long cardigan from Treasure & Bond. It’s so soft and cozy, and I love the tortoiseshell button detailing.
cami top: 1.STATE Lace Trim Camisole – Finding cute, plus-size camis has always been a challenge for me…until this cutie came along! I personally love that this camisole has a delicate lace trim and is a great piece for layering. It comes in four colors, and spoiler alert — I think I may be buying all of them. For reference, the fabric is 100% polyester and I would recommend sizing up for a more relaxed fit. I am wearing a size 2x.
pants: Nike Sportswear Knit Palazzo Pants – Of everything I’ve bought in the #NSale this year, these are my absolute favorite. In fact, they’re the best pair of sweats I’ve ever owned so I snagged them in both black & gray. What I love about these wide-leg sweatpants is that they have an elevated look that makes them appear more luxe or high-end without sacrificing all that comfort! And that front seam is just a fun little detail that I love. I cannot recommend these enough!
boots: Marc Fisher Oshay Pointed Toe Bootie – I’ve always been a big fan of Marc Fisher booties and love a good neutral shoe! These are such an easy wear-all-day pair of booties that also look great with these Good American jeans.
clutch: Madewell Leather Pouch Clutch – I love a rainbow stripes moment, and this clutch is the perfect size for running to brunch with the girls. This bag comes in several different styles as well. I still might have to snag the Madewell Transport Tote to go with the clutch!
Outfit 4: Nike Palazzo Pants + An Easy Sweater
This Free People Hacci sweater is so easy to wear and is beyond cozy! I love how well it pairs with the Nike Palazzo pants and I’ll most definitely be wearing it with these Good American jeans also from the sale.
Sweater: Free People Main Squeeze Hacci – I have always been a fan of Free People sweaters and am finding tons of great sweater options in the #NSale this year! Free People’s oversized fit and aesthetic works well for my curvaceous body, and I love how soft this sweater is. If you happened to miss out on the Hacci sweater, then check out this Leith Off The Shoulder Sweater. I had the chance to try it on, and it’s super similar to the FP sweater and so so soft!
Pants: Nike Sportswear Knit Palazzo Pants – These are on the fast track to becoming my most-worn pants of the season!
Boots: Vince Henderson Weatherproof Chelsea Boot – These Vince Chelsea boots go so well with everything.
