It’s that time again: we’re sharing our favorite items from Black-owned businesses that we’ve been drooling over (literally — there’s chocolate and cookies involved here). I also can’t get over this Zelie for She Flower Child Set Kat picked out. It’s on sale now and the most incredible print for spring. Love.
Baked Goods, Bold Prints & Accessories: January Black-Owned Business Faves
While we’re really wanting to grab a bunch of the below items for ourselves…we have to admit that they’d be pretty awesome gifts, too. Keep scrolling for seven Black-owned business favorites we’re obsessing over right now…
1/Laura’s Pick: VintageRoyalty Face Mask (on Etsy)
Laura’s Pick: This fabric! I wish I had eyelashes to show off like this beautiful human, but still. This gorgeous mask would brighten anyone’s day I think. I’m getting bored with so many of my masks. This would be a lovely update.
2/Linzi’s Pick: Paint Your Own S’mores Kit by Nila Nicholas
Linzi’s Pick: How CUTE CUTE CUTE are these!!! Three ADORABLE themes available…Holiday, Space, and Love. The “love” ones are perfect for Valentine’s Day. Vegan marshmallows, edible paint, graham crackers and dairy-free chocolate included. So.much.fun!
3/ Shana’s Pick: Cloud Socks by Brother Vellies
Shana’s Pick: If the name didn’t convince me (I’m a sucker for anything with ‘cloud’ in the name), the photos would — click through to see. These socks look like the cutest, comfiest, coziest things out there. And while I’m partial to the white (or maybe the oat??), this lavender pair fund a mask-making and food distribution initiative in Kenya. I would be THRILLED(!!) to get these as a birthday gift this year (hint, hint).
4/ Scotti’s Pick: Glen Beloti Cross Charm Necklace
Scotti’s Pick: This necklace is gorgeous in person. Made of 14kt Gold Filled (higher quality than traditional plating), the chain kind of sparkles as you move around. I love layering it with other necklaces, but it looks just as good on its own too. Gwen Beloti’s jewelry is really beautiful and unique — like I’m loving this bow bangle bracelet.
5/ Kat’s Pick: Zellie For She Flower Child Set
Kat’s Pick: I absolutely love Zelie For She! The sets are so luxe, and the woman who owns the company is a total boss babe. Zelie For She sets are all made in a limited run and are all beautifully designed. I have a classic black set and love the quality so much, but this one just looks so fun!
6/Amy’s Pick: Stina & Mae Baby Gift Box
Amy’s Pick: This is the sweetest little collection of baby items that would be perfect if you just welcomed a new baby (like me!) or have a loved one with a little bundle of joy on the way! It features essentials such as bibs, blankets and cloth wipes (hello sustainable!) and you can even personalize the box by adding an embroidered name on the blanket!
7/ Em’s Pick: Salt ‘n’ Sprinkles Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies
(Vegan + Gluten-Free!)
Em’s Pick: Gahhhh, a picture is worth a thousand words…right? But in case you need more convincing, straight off the Salt ‘n’ Sprinkles website: “soft and chewy with poooools of melted chocolate in every bite.” We’ve leaned hard into gifting “consumables” lately (not to be confused with edibles, ha!) — especially for our parents, who all claim not to need more stuff — and I love the clean ingredient list in these gorgeous Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies. Even though they’re totally plant-based, they look legitimately indulgent. Unsurprisingly, I love the sound of these Matcha Marshmallow cookies, too! Note: These are currently sold out, but if you stalk their site or newsletter, they’ll be making more goodies soon.
