There’s only one sweater I’ve been wanting to wear every single day since the temperatures dropped: this Naadam Merino Wool balloon sleeve sweater in the most gorgeous brown.
In my last post, I shared my favorite outfit to lounge and work from home, today I share my favorite pieces for going out. In my effort to survive the winter, (because it turns out my mental health actually needs to spend some time out and maybe go out to dinner), I turn to pretty things and colors I love.
Let’s Talk Balloon Sleeve Sweaters: NAADAM Nails It
This sweater, as minimal as it looks, has four things I love: a rich brown color (it comes in navy too), the perfect length to tuck into those higher rise jeans, the just-right slouchy fit with interesting sleeves, and it’s warm. The merino wool/cashmere feels cozy and delicious.
I love how the balloon sleeve adds this extra stylish slouch that’s fun, yet elegant. You can dress it up or down (keep scrolling for some outfits) and wear it all winter long. As per sizing, I sized down to keep the cropped length on my petite body and avoid a too oversized look.
Now, while I highly recommend my sweater, I found other options with more color alternatives and other unique details sure to make you fall in love. See below.

How I Wear My Balloon Sleeve Sweater
These are my most-worn outfits when I wear this Naadam Merino Wool sweater.
1. With Dark Wash Slim Jeans & Tall Boots
Looking back, this has been my default outfit: Dark wash jeans and pointy tall boots. I love staying in the same depth and chroma to avoid harsh lines.
Here I was in Bogotá and the sweater was already too hot for my home city, but I’ve worn it with my camel coat or a red topcoat.
2. With Straight-Leg Jeans & Chelsea Boots
I also love it with high-rise, full-length, straight-leg jeans. For this, I wear a cropped top that allows me to tuck the sweater under to get a more defined waist. I also layer a Uniqlo base layer under the crop tops on the cooler days.
This metallic puffer is very warm and one of my favorite winter jackets this season.
3. Ready For Errands With Leggings, Sneakers & A Trench Coat
Lastly, of course I wear this sweater with leggings. I recently wore it for my flight to Colombia by myself with the kids. I paired it with my trusty Spanx faux-leather leggings, sneakers and a trench coat on top. I felt stylish and comfortable all the time.
These sneakers are very sustainable in addition to stylish. I’m obsessed with the fact the materials are rice waste, cane sugar, and recycled polyester. They are my favorites for running errands and for working out.
This Naadam Merino Wool balloon sleeve sweater is one of my favorite purchases in the past few months and I’m sure it will be a favorite for years to come. What’s your favorite sweater this season?
