Are Fancy AllSaints coats worth the money? No. Of course not! When they’re not on sale, these puffers are like $500! HELLO!!! That’s so much money for a coat. There is, of course, a “but” though. They are gorgeous AND special AND warm AND have incredible attention to detail in their design. AND…I may have kept one. Ugh. AND…I may be wearing it and loving it and getting tons of compliments on it. Double Ugh. So much for me being the practical one at The Mom Edit.
An Expensive Winter Coat: Splurge While It’s On Sale
If you’re looking for a more reasonably priced coat, I have taken it upon myself to basically try and write about as many puffer coats as I can during the winter of 2019-2020.

BUT… if anyone received some holiday cash and is considering splurging on a fancy coat, now is the time if you’re interested in AllSaints coats. Several of them are on SUPER DUPER POST-HOLIDAY SALE. Here’s my review of two totally impractical, totally out of my budget, totally indulgent AllSaints Coat that I have a few complaints about, but also TOTALLY love.
The Fancy AllSaints Coat I’m Keeping
DETAILS (On Sale Now): I love the look! It’s oversized without feeling like it completely gobbles me up. The shape can be changed by cinching the bottom, unzipping the side zippers, tying the zipper “tassle-ribbon things”, or reversing to the blush color. You know I’m a gal who loves her options. It’s actually extremely warm (despite being short)…my legs get cold, so I reach for this Everlane one (also on sale!) on really cold days, but my upper body (even with only a tee underneath) is nice and toasty with the AllSaints. My biggest complaint is the pockets. They don’t have zippers (so I’m constantly worrying my phone is going to drop out), and there are no inside secret pockets where I usually like to stash cash and an emergency lipgloss. BUT… it’s sooooooo pretty, and I do absolutely love it!
The Fancy AllSaints Coat I Didn’t Keep
DETAILS (Also on Sale): This coat is interesting. I fell in love with it online and when I put it on, it felt like complete luxury. This is a very heavyweight coat, which I actually really like…it feels like a giant huge, warm cozy hug on your body. If I lived somewhere further north, I would have given this more consideration. It IS pretty heavy, though, for Philly weather, and I felt like I got a little lost in the coat, especially when zipped up. It has a ton of fun snap details, though, and does feel extra luxe especially with the heavy weight and attention to design details.
