This post has been updated with our very favorites from Colleen Rothschild’s 20% Off Event — happening now! No code needed.
Now, more than ever, we’re spending LOTS of time at home (duh, Gwen). But seriously! I’ve never felt more at peace with being showered and in bed by 9pm with a squeaky clean face and skincare gingerly applied…because I’ve got nothing better to do!
Okay, maybe that’s my introverted self talking as I totally lean-in to this downtime, but even so, I think we could all use a little self-care in the form of luxe moisturizers, serums & cleansing balms right now. It’s funny how even the smallest ritual like washing your face can make you feel so good.
Colleen Rothschild Beauty: The Skincare Products We ALL Love
Shana and some members of the team have been hooked on Colleen Rothschild Beauty for quite some time and now…they’ve got me hooked, too. It’s good guys (and I’ve tried a bunch of fancy skincare!!). If I had to choose a current fav though, I’d say it’s the Complete Eye Cream. After long days staring at my computer, I was starting to notice some serious bags & dark circles — after a few solid weeks of use, I see an improvement.
Not only is Colleen Rothschild is total skincare superstar, she is NOT shy about her sales. Right now, CRB is offering up 20% off everything. Yup, even our beloved Radiant Cleansing Balm. Oh! and ps. Shana recently posted her Nighttime Skincare Routine (featuring this amazing CBD Face Oil that Colleen just launched) be sure to take a peek. You can also see her nighttime beauty routine (with a fun little video!) here.

I mean, it’s hard to narrow down what I love from Colleen Rothschild because — let’s be honest — I’m not getting any younger over here. Thanks, #2020. One of the products I rarely buy but absolutely need is eye serum. I LOVE the Retinol Supreme Eye Serum. When I use it consistently, I absolutely see smoother skin around my eyes and I love that it’s thick enough it doesn’t slide around all over my face. My honorable mention is also the Discovery Set. In a normal year, I adore it for travel and just leave all the great items in my travel bag ready to go. Right now though, it’s perfect if you haven’t tried the products and want to sample a variety of them! It includes the Extreme Recovery Cream which is another fav of mine.

So, over the past six weeks, I’ve been making my way through most of Colleen Rothschild’s best-sellers (see my full post here), and I’m smitten with just about all of them. My current nighttime routine is the Radiant Cleansing Balm (we’ve all waxed poetic about this one, but it really IS worth the hype — it’s easily the personal care ritual I most look forward to at the end of every day, and it melts away makeup like a dream) followed by the Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum, the Complete Eye Cream and Face Oil No. 9, which is so soothing, easily absorbed and surprisingly non-greasy. Let’s talk about that Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum for a sec, though. Made with mandelic acid (a gentle alpha hydroxy acid), it’s probably one of the more — technical? clinical? — products in my regimen, and it’s significantly improved the tone and texture of my skin, reducing sporadic splotchiness and even clearing up small hormonal breakouts. All in all, I go to bed feeling like a dewy goddess and wake up looking — well, I’m sure I look as tired and crabby as usual, ha! — but my skin looks and feels refreshed, even despite everything 2020 has thrown at it.

There’s a reason we all love Colleen Rothschild Skincare — it feels great on your skin, it smells good…but it’s the fact that it works that really has us all hooked. Her Radiant Cleansing Balm is my favorite way to wash my face and her Face Oil N°9 is my favorite way to add hydration year-round. Her Sheer Renewal Cream is the perfect moisturizer for daytime because it hydrates your skin without being greasy and absorbs completely (it doubles as a primer that leaves your skin perfectly prepped for makeup). The Retinol Supreme Eye Serum & Retinol Supreme Night Oil are two products I put on every night before bed (followed by the Extreme Recovery Cream when my skin is dry). They are without a doubt making a noticeable difference! So when I saw CR expanded into hair care, I was excited to try it. And, you guys, it’s SO GOOD–it literally is the best-smelling hair care product I’ve ever used. (I told Colleen she needed to come up with a perfume when I had the pleasure of meeting her.) The Quench & Shine Restorative Mask is AWESOME on dry hair (I use it a couple of times a week,) and the Smooth & Shine Hair Serum helps with my dry frizzy ends. Try it, you’ll love it!

I know EVERYONE at TME has already been raving about the Radiant Cleansing Balm for years now, but I finally tried it and now completely understand the hype. It TOTALLY lives up to its reputation. I’ve been using it in the evenings right before bed as an end-of-the day treat (attempting to carve out some self-care time rather than my usual scrounge-around-the-kitchen-looking-for-anything-with-sugar time). The spa-like smell and luxe texture instantly relaxes me and pretty much like magic, I breathe out the craziness of the day — yes, bowls of ice cream at the end of the day have their place as well — but using this balm has been a pretty good September (back-to-routine) substitute. I’m finishing up some of my old skincare products (trying to not waste) before starting the full Colleen Rothschild skincare routine, but I find myself “cheating” on my other products with the Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Night Oil and the Retinol Supreme Eye Serum. I might have to give up and completely switch over to all her products sooner rather than later.

Can I say everything? Okay, well fine. I’ll whittle it down to one of my favorites — the Sheer Renewal Cream. If there’s one product I have to have at all times…it’s a really good facial cream. I have been using it for about two weeks now and I have to say, it is so lovely. It doesn’t feel oily (probably because it’s oil-free), manages to keep my skin feeling hydrated for the majority of the day (my dry-ish skin is usually ready for a second round of hydration by the afternoon). The other cool perk of this cream is that well, yes…it renews! It promotes new cell turnover to help minimize those annoying little lines and wrinkles. Also! It has a powder finish to it. LOVELY.
Now, I also have to mention their Face Oil N°9, which is lush. I slather that stuff all over my face (or sorry, gently massage it into my skin) right before bed and it is perfection in a bottle.

My husband turned 37 two weeks ago, and after seeing a pic we took that day, he said, “I’m wrinkled”. Well, I’ve been telling him to wash his face, and slap on some sunscreen and moisturizer for the decade we’ve been married, but he thought he’d be 20 forever. He’s now addicted to the Retinol Supreme Night Oil after I told him it’d help with the wrinkles. I’m letting him get used to washing, serum, moisturizer, and then adding the eye cream.
As for me, I have rosacea — cleansing my face is very important but I have to be very gentle. I LOVE smearing the cleansing balm on my face and letting it do its job, then gently wiping it; it always leaves my skin smooth and clean. Hair-wise, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but my hair is in the borderline of wavy and curly, and keeping it hydrated and restored from the heat styling is a must. I started using the Colleen Rothschild restorative mask recently and love it so far. Now I have to try it on dry hair as Scotti suggested.
