Below I’ve included a fall mix-and-match capsule wardrobe entirely from pieces under $100 (and you likely already have some similar pieces in your closet.)

The Best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Buys Under $100: A Budget-Friendly Capsule Wardrobe

In addition to the budget-friendly capsule wardrobe, I also include options for “switch-outs” in order to build a capsule wardrobe of your own with budget-friendly pieces from the sale. My style is usually a bit more playful, but for fall and the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I generally like to look for closet staples, and then in “real life” just add in a fun mask, modern earrings, or a bold red lip. 1 | Gibson Colorblock Cozy Pullover (**Plus Sizing Available**): Soft, cozy and perfect for at home or out and about. I have to have at least one black and white top in pretty much EVERY capsule wardrobe.

2 | Caslon Pintuck Cotton Blouse (**Plus Sizing Available**): Under $25 and available in 6 different colors. A great Zoom top, but size down….my size small came in and it was huge. 

3 | Free People Chunky Sweater: This one is soft, warm and an on-trend crop (but not too crop) style. I wish I would have sized up, though. It’s definitely a heavy chunky sweater, but such a cool look. I have the xs and it could be a bit slouchier. See selfie here.

4 | AllSaints Scarf: What?? An AllSaints scarf for under $50?? Such a pretty design that goes well contrasting with all the browns or with all black and gray (and red lips obvi). 

5 | Treasure & Bond Leather Crescent-Shaped Bag: I love the shape and size of this bag. It also comes in brown with a black strap (which I included in my wish list capsule wardrobe). See selfie here.

6 | Madewell Striped Crossbody Tote: One statement piece is really all you need in a capsule wardrobe and this bag brings life to any outfit you put together. Mostly neutrals (so easy to wear), but with just enough color to make it not boring at all. 

7 | Wit & Wisdom Bootcut Jeans: Under $50! Thankfully bootcut is back. This style is what I have been wearing a ton of recently…easy and comfortable and this wash goes with everything.

8 | Wit & Wisdom Grey Skinnies: Under $50. Oh I love a good grey denim, and Wit & Wisdom does comfy jeans really well. See selfie here.

9 | Blondo Snakeprint Waterproof Booties: Super-similar vibe to the pricey snake print Aquatalias and also weatherproof! I’ve found the key to making pointy-toe boots more comfy is to size up. See selfie here.

11 | Sorel Kinetic High Top Sneaks: These also come in a really good army green. My good friend rocks the gold ones, but I love the darker ones for fall and winter.

12 | Thread & Supply Cardi Coat: Under $45! One of my fav finds of the sale!!! Soft and cozy enough for inside, but also a perfect top layer for fall. LOVE! See selfie here.

13 | The North Face Raincoat: Solid The North Face rain repellant jacket under $100! Comes in black (can’t go wrong there), but I like the green for something a bit different. See selfie here.

14 | Free People Camo Clare Tee: I’m not always a huge camo fan, but I’m a huge fan of this one…the darker color combo, big print, soft fabric and raw edge sleeves are working for me. See selfie here.

15 | Free People Lounge/Workout Top: You can wear this guy backwards or forwards for two different looks. I love a “real top” that feels like pajamas. See Shana in hers here.

16 | Zella Joggers (**Plus Sizing Available**): These are a STEAL during this sale. If they sell out fast, these and these (also from Zella) look good as well. I sized down to an XS and am happy with the fit. See selfie here.

I love the Zella joggers and Free People top in the capsule, but there are also some good jogger options from BP and TONS more Free People.

Budget-Friendly Tennis Shoes

Sorel’s ultra cool high tops and UGG’s slip-ons are very good options, but EILEEN FISHER slip-ons under $100 and all of the Adidas sneaks are good too.

Budget-Friendly Boots

The snake print Blondos are an amazing alternative to the pricey Aquatalias, but the Gore-Tex sneaker/boots below are kind of calling my name.

Budget-Friendly Bags

I love the Madewell tote and Treasure and Bond bag for my personal style, but if you’re looking for SUPER good deals in this year’s sale, several luxe brand small bags (AllSaints, Rag & Bone, TUMI) are all under $100.

Budget-Friendly Accessories

I kept most of the capsule picks pretty neutral (easier to mix and match), but you can always throw in a fun scarf to add in some color. Or…throw in some easy (and VERY budget-friendly) everyday earrings.
