Hey, hey, hey! I am absolutely loving this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — I really feel like Nordstrom has finally stepped it up with the plus-size clothing options. The pieces I have so far definitely have a common theme…let’s call it: Netflix & Chill. And as always, I have a LOT of workout pieces in the mix because I love to stay active.
Nike, Free People & Zella: Kat’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Edit For Netflix & Chill Vibes
Let’s talk about some sale highlights that are still in stock. I (along with many of my TME teammates) am obsessed with the Nike Palazzo pants. They are the best sweats I have ever tried on, and I will be wearing them to work! I styled them up multiple ways, and so did Laura in her most recent post here. The ivory color sold out fast (because it’s gorgeous!!) but black and gray seem to still be fully stocked on Nordstrom’s site. Luckily, I was able to snag both to try down below!
If you’re on the hunt for work clothes, I found a plaid blazer that I really like. It’s a great option for those of you who may be headed back into the office (or even for Zoom meetings). I sized up for a more oversized look, and ps: it also looks amazing dressed down with these floral P448s. I was also so happy to see my FAVORITE black Vince Camuto leggings included in the sale for under $40. These are a staple for me; I wear them to work all the time. Last, but certainly not least, is this Treasure & Bond cardigan. A super- soft and easy piece that I’ve been throwing over graphic tees for lounging around the house.
FYI, some of my favorites have since sold out, but I’ll call that out in the text and link to either the same or a similar product on another site. If nothing else, I hope my styled looks give you some inspo for fall! For more of that good #NSale inspo, head over to our Nordstrom Anniversary Sale page.
1. Start With The Best Sweatpants EVER
If there were one pair of sweatpants I could live in forever, it would be these Nike Palazzo pants. 100%. I’m all about the elevated sweats look. The exaggerated seam on the front leg of the pants instantly caught my eye, and I can’t get over how soft these are. I bought them in black and gray and will be keeping them in both colors.
Nike Palazzo Pants For Daytime…
I paired these with the matching Nike sweatshirt. I love how cute the set looks together — the sweatshirt is so soft and cozy. As far as sizing goes, I found the sweatshirt to run very large. I’m wearing a size L and wish I would have ordered one size down. I topped this look off with a pair of UGG slippers to make it the perfect daytime lounge set!

…Or Nike Palazzo Pants For Fancy Friday
These sweatpants are also super-easy to dress up for a fancy Friday night! Here I paired them with the cutest pink Topshop sweater, some taupe Marc Fisher booties and the Madewell leather pouch — all in the sale.

More Outfit Ideas For Nike’s Palazzo Pants In Gray
Some more ideas for styling…love these with a good crop top (that blue twist-front Zella is everything) and my floral p448’s! ps. There’s also a very similar wide-leg sweatpant on Nike’s website right now that comes in several great colors…I will be ordering those, too!

2. Spoiler: You’ll Want All The Colors
The palazzo pants are just SO good that I had to get them in black too! Not only are these a great loungewear option, I totally think you could get away with wearing these to work in some offices.
Another Way To Wear Nike’s Palazzo Pants In Black
Just pair them with a cute sports bra (I love this one from Nike) and call it a day.

3. These Free People Sweaters Work For All Body Types
Surprisingly, Free People has always been a go-to of mine for tops. Their oversized aesthetic works well for all body types, and this year’s Free People tops and sweaters featured in the Nordstrom Sale are so so good! I love a good sweater and was so excited that all of these sweaters worked so well for me. For reference, I’m wearing a size L in all three sweaters (the Breton, My Only Sunshine & the Hacci) — I’ll be wearing these on rotation all fall and winter!
a. Free People Breton Stripe Pullover
The Breton stripe pullover sweater was the most surprising find for me, and I absolutely love the fit. I love when sweaters and t-shirts have a rounded hem because it works better for my hips and overall shape of my body. This fuzzy sweater is oh-so-cozy and will keep you warm all winter long. I paired it with my all-time favorite Vince Camuto leggings that are also in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Breton Stripe Pullover + Vince Camuto Leggings + One Of These Bags…
This base outfit will most likely be my fall and winter uniform for work or just lounging around. It’s the ultimate comfort outfit and is super-easy to switch up with cute accessories.

b. Free People My Only Sunshine Sweater
This chunky sweater is so cute and I love the taupe color. The only downside for me was the neckline felt a little too slouchy — I wish it would have been a bit more form-fitting around my neck. I love the balloon sleeves and think this will look great with a midi skirt too! I paired this sweater with the Wit & Wisdom jeans I recently bought, and there are quite a few in the sale this year! They have great stretch and are a lower rise than I would normally pick but I actually really like them! (AND they’re under $50!)

c. Free People Main Squeeze Hacci Sweater
Okay, I am loving this Hacci sweater and am especially loving the neckline! This sweater is super-breathable, and I like that the waistline of the sweater is tighter to help create that more oversized look. I purchased this in two colors and the taupe color is my personal favorite of the two. It’s currently available in peach at Nordstrom and white at Revolve.

Free People Hacci Sweater With Bike Shorts
I LIVE for bike shorts and I think this pair from Nike look so cute with the Free People Hacci sweater that I love. If you’re in the market for new bike shorts, these are buttery soft and have quickly become a staple in my wardrobe!

4. Bonus Sweater: This Treasure & Bond Cardi
This Treasure & Bond Cardi was a happy surprise for me. TBH, I totally forgot that I ordered it, but I am so happy that I did! It is so soft, and I love the long length. I paired it with my Vince Camuto leggings and this hella cute graphic tee.

5. The Jeans That Need No Introduction
It’s no secret that Good American jeans are my favorite to wear, and I am loving their Good Legs style so much! This is the same style of jeans I wrote about a few months back — they feel like leggings and have the most amazing stretch. They are perfect for any occasion and look so cute with this Pink Floyd graphic tee!

6. The Best Sweatshirt For Now & Later
a. Champion Cropped Sweatshirt + GA Jeans + Floral Sneakers
Full disclosure: this sweatshirt has sold out on Nordstrom (ugh!) but luckily, I was able to find it in a ton of colors for $55 on Zappos. If you’re looking for a similar piece in the sale, this spring green champion pullover is super cute. When I pulled this outfit together, I had weekend errands in mind! Cute, right? Still wearing those crazy comfy GA jeans that feel like leggings, too. You need them in your life.

7. On My Way To Workout (Thanks, Nike!)
Seriously, why is Nike so so good this season!? I am in love with everything from Nike and keeping every. single. one of these workout tops and sneakers! The Nike Air Max 270 sneakers are so comfy. I love that they have extra cushion in the sole. Everything about these workout outfits are so me, and are also perfect for walking the pups!

8. This Nike Anorak Deserves A Close-Up
This Nike Anorak was on my wish list and my plus-size capsule, and I am 100% in love with it. I really like the little front pocket, and think this is going to be great for hiking and puppy walking! The colors and design are just so fun, so its a total winner for me!
9. I’m A Zella Lover Now…Thanks To These Leggings
Okay, so I purchased two pairs of Zella leggings, and I am now a convert! These Zella high-rise printed leggings are perfect for me, and the price point is amazing.
a. Zella Leggings: From Yoga To Brunch
The pattern on these Zella leggings is so fun! I love that you can wear these to yoga and then throw on a cute cardigan like this Madewell wrap to head to brunch (whenever we get to go to brunch again!).

10. Back To Work? This Blazer Will Make It Better
I am back in the office as of this week, and this blazer is perfect for work! I don’t usually like plaid, but this one is such a gem. I decided to size up for a boyfriend-style look. Also available in straight sizes, here.

11. Help Me Decide: Should I Keep This Faux Patent Leather Trench?
I am totally on the fence about this Leith faux patent leather trench coat. I feel like it’s slightly too shiny but everyone else who has seen it loves it. What are your thoughts? Do you think I should give it a try or say goodbye?

12. A Black Jumpsuit That Feels Like Pajamas (But Looks Great With All The Toppers)
This black BB Dakota jumpsuit was so comfortable! I’m such a fan of a good jumpsuit, and anything in a soft fabric is perfect for that cozy feeling while also looking cute. I’m sad to say this jumpsuit is currently sold out (we’ll keep an eye out for restocks) BUT this one by Saturday Sunday has a very similar look. Saturday Sunday fits me well in size XL and I have a few jumpsuits from by that brand!

Instantly Dress It Up With Any Of These Toppers
A black jumpsuit goes so well with tons of different jackets and sweaters. My personal favorite is the Madewell oversized jean jacket — such a good one. Unfortunately, it’s also sold out in the sale but fully stocked at Madewell in sizes XS-3X! Go snag it!

Keep the trench! It’s gorgeous and so are you!!!
Thank you! It’s so different than my typical style, but definitely is a show stopper for sure!
You really do look dressed up in the gray sweats and pink sweater – I wouldn’t have questioned you wearing that in my office! Love it.
The sweats are so so good! And I think the same would be true for the black palazzos as well!
The jumpsuit looks so good on you! Also, this whole post is giving such cozy vibes.
Thanks! I love all the cozy vibes too and the jumpsuit is so comfortable, it feels like PJs!
That trench looks so dang good on you! If it’s too bombshell for your style with the shine and cut, I get it, but wow is it amazing on you.
Honestly, I think that trench looks like a shiny green lawn and leaf bag, ready to be stuffed full of clippings and left by the curb. Not nearly fabulous enough for your sporty chic self.
Haha I absolutely love your rendition of this jacket. It personally wasn’t for me and gave me all the Men In Black vibes except with a touch of forest green!
That blazer is Sharp. Pallazos, cardis, leggings…. you look amazing- keep ’em all!
Thanks! There were seriously so many amazing things in the sale this year, and I am having such a hard time pairing it down!
Gurl, can we talk about your hair?! I am a white girl with curly hair and I feel like we have similar hair. I feel like my hair would look amazing if I used he same products as you. I feel like us white girls with curly hair could stand to learn a thing or two from our Black compatriots. White girls (eh, folks in general?) spend way too much time trying to make their hair do things it was never meant to do. Viva la naturale!!!!! Spill the tea, please?!
I swear by Briogeo hair products! Their Don’t Despair Repair line has been my holy grail for hair products for the last 3 years and is a total game changer for me! If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should! It’s black owned by this boss babe who is killing the hair game, and is also in the #NSale this year! Here is a great starter kit if you are interested: https://shopstyle.it/l/blCb0 I also recently started using Rahua and LOVE the scent of their hydration hair line and their Omega 3 protein mask has been great for me: https://shopstyle.it/l/blCcH I hope this helps! 😀
