Some of you *may* remember these PAIGE cords from last year. They’re seriously fun to wear, and were totally clutch during the holidays. (I featured them in this video with Julieta.)
Well….they’re back. PAIGE didn’t remake the burgundy, unfortunately, but they do come in a seriously gorgeous mossy green, or black.

Everything I’m wearing is old…but La Ligne does have this exact cashmere sweater in green (totally worth it, BTW — I wear these so much I have them in two different colors), and the PAIGE cords are now available in either mossy green, or black.
4 Cute Outfit Ideas For The PAIGE Sutton Cords
(Based on How I’ve Actually Worn Them)
Below are four outfit ideas, based on how I’ve actually worn these cords over the last year or so. Not only are the ideas similar to how I’ve worn them, but most of the pieces featured are ones I already own. My point? Everything below is pretty tried-and-true. I did, in some cases, tweak colors to better go with either the black or green…but I suspect longtime readers will recognize most pieces below.

Black PAIGE Sutton Corduroy Outfit On the LEFT…
faux fur: [BLANKNYC] Teddy Coat (size small) – This ended up being one of my most-worn buys during the Anni sale. It’s SO good because it’s…actually not that fancy. Not only do I grab it for going out, but it’s great with jeans and sneaks, too. (And I’m planning to wear it with a black turtleneck and leggings…as a pretty genius airplane outfit, too.)
cami: Cami NYC The Olivia Metallic Silk Blend (xs for reference) – I have this exact cami in silver. It’s a really fun party top (and also looks great layered over a white tee).
cords: PAIGE Sutton Cords in Black (25 for reference) – the cord on these is a pretty fine-wale cord, so they drape really nicely. They’re called high-rise cords, but I found them to fit more like a mid-rise (it’s just the paperbag part that makes them look like a higher rise).
bag: Shiraleah Vinita Floral Embroidered Tassel Minaudiere – I don’t have this exact bag, but it has that slightly vintage vibe I love.
boots: Everlane The Day Boot – If you haven’t yet tried these boots, the leather is BUTTER SOFT. I have them in gold, but have long wished I had gotten the black. They’re gorgeous AND comfortable.
Black PAIGE Sutton Corduroy Outfit On the RIGHT…
sweater: La Ligne Sweater (in green) (size xs for reference) – The exact sweater I’m wearing in the photos, but in this year’s color update (green, obvi). It’s 100% cashmere, the sleeves are extra long, it drapes beautifully, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
bag: Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack – Still not over this thing. I still use mine on the regular, and every time I try and find a new backpack….they’re never quite as good as this one. (So much so that I recently found myself drooling over the oxblood hmmmm…)
sneaks: Adidas Superstars – my most-worn sneaks. But you guys know that by now.

Green PAIGE Sutton Corduroy Outfit On the LEFT…
cami: CAMI NYC The Olivia Camisole – I don’t have this exact cami, but it might be my next purchase. I’m a huge fan of their silk camis, but this velvet update is pretty darn tempting (and the texture play here is so good).
cords: Paige Sutton Paperbag Waist Cords in green (size 25 for reference) – As I mentioned above, this cord fabric is pretty fine and soft…and this color is so freaking pretty.
bag: Nordstrom Rivoli Beaded Clutch – Another clutch with some seriously good vintage vibes.
heels: Naturalizer Anna Pump – I have the snakeskin version of these pumps and they are SHOCKINGLY comfortable. As a comfort shoe brand, Naturalizer is on fire right now.
Green PAIGE Sutton Corduroy Outfit On the RIGHT…
sweater: Everlane The Cashmere Rib Boatneck Sweater – Oh hey, I’m wearing this right now! This 100% cashmere sweater has a short, swingy cut that feels really fresh right now. (And you can see it on, here.)
bag: Sondra Roberts Cutout Handle Mini Crossbody Bag – OK, I don’t actually have anything similar. But I do love Sondra Roberts in general, and was really drawn to both the color (taupe forever!!) and details (that button!!) of this bag.
boots: PAIGE Willa Chelsea Bootie – If you’ve been reading for a while, you’ve definitely seen these boots. I love how walkable and comfortable they are, and they’re shockingly versatile, too. See them here with mom jeans, here with skinnies, and here with a dress.

These outfits are great but WAY out of my budget. One outfit costs almost $1000. Perhaps I’m not the typical Mom Edit reader?
Hi Emily – My stuff does tend to get pricy, but we have a bunch of different contributors here, with a wide range of price points. Our only “rule” (if you can even call it that) is to stay true to what we genuinely wear and love. Use us for shopping, or use us for ideas…either way, we’re thrilled you’re here. xo
Love these looks and wonder if it’s possible to pull them off in a climate where socks are a requirement in the winter, and often even in the fall?
Hmmmm…when it’s really cold and snowy, if I’m dressing the cords up, I swap the heels (or the Everlane boots) out for boot with a really high shaft so my ankles are completely covered. My go-tos are these: https://shopstyle.it/l/9Iui
And I always wear thick wool socks with the boots. I also skip sneakers in the snow – I hate cold ankles. The western boots, however, would probably still work, as long as it’s not freezing cold.
